MBC bans songs from both Se7en and SHINee’s new albums
MBC who recently banned BIGBANG T.O.P’s single “Turn It Up” because of the use of brand names including Louis Vuitton and Dolce in the lyrics, has continued to ban songs who promote brands and mention website names.
Recently under the fire is Se7en’s and SHINee’s comeback albums Better Together and Lucifer.
The albums were recently evaluated by the department because they are new releases and Se7en’s track “Money Can’t Buy Me Love” has been banned for containing brand names Guess and Gucci and SHINee’s “Love Still Goes On” has be banned for mentioning the website Facebook once during the song.
Both SHINee and Se7en are planning to resend edited versions of the tracks to meet MBC’s standards and to lift any bans placed on their albums.
This recent banning has sparked many questions to KPop fans worldwide: the most prominent questions being “Is MBC being too harsh?” and “Are they being unfair?”. Well what do you think? Are they?
