[Update] MBLAQ’s Lee Joon’s sudden illness attributed to cochlear dysfunction

Earlier today, hellokpop.com reported that MBLAQ’s Lee Joon had been hospitalized after becoming ill during preparations for his appearance on February 13th’s episode of SBS’s InkigayoBNT News has now reported that his illness was due to some type of cochlear dysfunction.  The exact type of cochlear dysfunction he is experiencing has not yet been revealed.

A representative from J.Tune Camp said, “Lee Joon is currently receiving treatment in the hospital after suddenly vomiting. He has a cochlea disorder, but the results have shown that his condition is not severe. Thank you to those who are concerned.”

The cochlea is the auditory portion of the inner ear.  Disorders of the cochlea can lead to vertigo, which can bring on sudden episodes of vomiting, like the one Joon experienced backstage at SBS.

Everyone here at hellokpop.com hopes Joon is resting well and sends him their best wishes for a speedy recovery.
