IU sets new Billboard record!

IU has topped the Korean Billboard charts for her 4th consecutive week. This constitutes a new record in the Billboard K-Pop Hot 100 short history. Right after the Billboard was created back in August, Davichi achieved a triple crown with their hit Don’t Say Goodbye. It remained as the record until IU set this new record of 4 weeks as Billboard leader with You & I.

Don’t Say Goodbye was the very first song to achieve a “triple triple crown” on charts. It dominated the Billboard, Instiz and Gaon charts for 3 consecutive weeks. IU has extended this record by ranking 1st for 4 weeks on both Instiz and Billboard, and 3 weeks on the Gaon weekly charts. IU’s You and I spell as weekly charts leader for the 3 different digital entities will not be extended due to the release of Davichi & T-ara‘s We Were In Love which is enjoying a great success.
