Davichi Dominates Mnet Yearly Charts Along With T-ara!
Mnet, Korea’s 2nd biggest digital chart with an estimated share of 22% of the market, has just published its Yearly overall chart for 2011. It is one what would particuraly please its owners as both top spots are dominated by artists belonging to the company: Davichi and T-ara from Core Contents Media. Both groups also dominated Naver‘s Yearly charts, which also belongs to the same company, Mnet. Before anyone voices its concerns of biased results, remember that this is not based on votes. Mnet overall Yearly charts summarize both downloads and streaming Yearly charts accounting for 50% each. This is then stricly based on sales. But then it’s only logical that fans of both groups favor those charts for their pruchase. Since the money stays within the same company, CCM and FNC‘s artists would benefit more from purchases made on Naver and Mnet than on any other charts.
