IU’s record run on Melon ends with T-ara’s Lovey Dovey all kill!

After 35 crazy days for IU, her hit song You & I has finally been unseated from Melon‘s top spot. This run is her personal record along with the longest run from a song released in 2011. IU’s previous record of 28 days was made with Good Day, while the yearly record of 2011 belonged to Leessang‘s Turn off the TV, with 25 days.

This is another big achievement to add to the nation’s little sister‘s already long and impressive list. There seems to be no end to IU’s popularity and success. Interestingly enough, it was no other than T-ara that unseated IU on Melon. Their highly anticipated hit song, Lovey Dovey, is keeping all promises, so far. It made the best possible debut on charts by dominating all nine real-time charts, despite MBLAQ‘s comeback song, released on the same day.

Lovey Dovey is on the verge of achieving a certified all-kill. It will be reported if it happens, but IU deserves her own article for this impressive feature which isn’t the last to be achieved by You & I!

The following capture is the Melon Daily charts for the 3rd of January that certifies T-ara as the new daily leader, and officially ends IU’s crazy run!
