Kpop Best 7: Loved by Foreign Fans in 2011
The past month, Showbiz Korea of Arirang TV created an online voting poll for foreign fans to choose their favorite K-pop songs of 2011. As part of their New Year Special, they asked fans from different parts of the world to show their love and support for their favorite K-pop artist. These are the K-pop songs that made it to the list:
7. 2PM- Hands Up
With their beastly charm and upbeat music, 2PM captivated fans all over the world, giving them the No. 7 spot on the survey. Every time you hear their music you can’t help but dance, which is the trademark of the beastly idol group.
6. TVXQ-Keep Your Head Down
After a long hiatus TVXQ returned with stronger music, strengthening their popularity in Asia. U-Know Yunho and Max Changmin still managed to maintain their reign as the Gods rising from the East.
5. Beast-Fiction
2011 was the year for BEAST. They were loved by fans all over the world, definitely living up to their name: Boys from the East Standing Tall!
4. 2NE1- I am the Best
Winning the grand prize for “Song of the Year” at last year’s MAMA, and being awarded as the “Best New Band in the World” by MTV Iggy, 2NE1 deserves a spot on this list. The song itself shows the confidence 2NE1 has in their music.
3. Girl’s Generation (SNSD)- The Boys
Before its release, The Boys was the talk of the town. It has been reported that it was especially written for SNSD by the world famous producer Teddy Riley, who has collaborated with many international artists.
2. Big Bang- Tonight
2011 may not have been so swell for some of the Big Bang members, but they are still loved by fans all over the world. With their unique and chic music style, you can’t help but fall in love with these V.I.P’s.
1. Super Junior- Mr. Simple
After their smash hit Sorry Sorry and Bonamana, Super Junior regained their spot as Asia’s Superstars with Mr. Simple.
