SNSD gets onto two categories of this week’s Billboard charts
SNSD‘s current international album release of The Boys has resulted in the success of achieving places in two different categories of the Billboard charts for the week of the 4th of February, 2012. In a little more than a week, the girls have made their first mark on the United States’ music scene. Their album reached 2nd place in the World Albums category and 22nd place in the Heatseekers Albums category.
Their album release has garnered attention of netizens as they achieved international success in such a short time. The girls are currently being compared to the Wonder Girls as they have been the first Korean band to make it onto the Billboard Hot 100 in 2009 at 76th place and topped the Year End Charts Hot Singles Sales with their single Nobody in 2010. If SNSD’s album continues to receive praise, there may be a chance where they can make it onto the Billboard Hot 100 too.
