JYP almost did not cast Nichkhun as a trainee
JYP Entertainment‘s CEO Park Jin Young recently made an appearance on July 19′s episode of KBS‘ Happy Together to share stories. The most interesting titbit in particular was about 2PM‘s member Nichkhun. Before forming 2PM, Park did not have confidence in casting Nichkhun as a trainee. He revealed:
“JYP’s casting director discovered Nichkhun and brought him in, but I had doubts that Nichkhun could become a singer.”
The CEO did not regret his decision in placing Nichkhun in 2PM and added:
“Now Nichkhun practically keeps our company alive!”
