SM casting stories spark public interest

12. October, 2012 General No comments

It may come as no surprise that several SM Entertainment idols were discovered by SM casting managers at common, everyday locations and not at the agency’s formal auditions.

Recently, an online community portal posted a bulletin with SM casting stories, which contained images and stories of the scouting of SM artists. The post revealed that TVXQ‘s Changmin was taken notice of during a game of badminton, Super Junior‘s Kangin was spotted whilst at an amusement park with friends and SNSD‘s Seohyun was discovered on the subway.

However, the most interesting casting story would have to belong to EXO-K‘s Sehun. The idol was allegedly seen eating at a rice cake stand and was followed around by a casting manager for thirty minutes before agreeing to participate in an audition.
