Why CNBLUE named their world tour ‘Blue Moon’
CNBLUE revealed why they named their concert ‘Blue Moon’. It is absolutely because Blue Moon only comes once in a while. – Once in a Blue Moon
As the blue excitement steadily built up for CNBLUE’s concert at Stadium Negara, Samsung Malaysia Electronics offered fans various opportunities to get up close and personal with their Korean rock heroes.
Korean rock band CNBLUE arrived in Malaysia for the second time, for the 2013 CNBLUE Blue Moon World Tour In Malaysia on the night of 22 August and received warm welcome by Malaysia BOICEs at the airport. Prior to the concert on 24 August, they presented themselves at the press conference held at Grand Hyatt Hotel Kuala Lumpur in the late afternoon.
Dressed in casual neat outfits, the charming boys of CNBLUE; Jung Yong Hwa, Lee Jong Hyun, Lee Jung Shin and Kang Min Hyuk, entered the press conference room, took their seats and greeted the press using simple English words, while trying out some of the national Malay language by greeting “Apa Khabar?” (How are you?)
The press conference was then proceeded to the Q & A session with the host and the press.
This being their second visit in Malaysia, CNBLUE shared that the country was having the same warm climate with Korea at the moment. When asked what local delicacies Minhyuk wanted to try, he could not resist satay because he likes skewered type of food.
Revealing about his musical inspiration, main vocalist and group leader Yonghwa who has already written a number of tracks, said he actually gains inspiration from other people, and through various songs and musical styles that he listens to, with the environment which plays a role as well.
Though a proficient judo fighter, Jonghyun expressed his security with his brothers that he does not need to fight against a bad person. Moving on to the question about their fashion styles, Jungshin disclosed that their band usually gives input to their stylists on what they want to wear. Minhyuk, who also acts from time to time, emphasized that singing will always be his top priority among others.
K-Pop artists are always trying out new styles and wanting to look different from each other. When CNBLUE was asked how to describe their current style in terms of fashion, Yonghwa quipped that they had to thank their stylists who style them nicely.
It is a known fact that Yonghwa and Jonghyun are both singer-song writers. Their new song, I’m Sorry and Me More Than You are written by Yonghwa and Jonghyun respectively. Minhyuk opened up that he is eager to learn and does his best by taking notes on lyrics from time to time. As the leader, Yonghwa is guiding them as they are still in the process of learning. Minhyuk gets to learn more whenever they are working together. He also revealed his wishes to have his own songs in the near future.
In the recent Korean boy bands’ concerts, BIGBANG had their world tour named ‘Big Bang Alive Galaxy Tour 2012‘, TVXQ‘s world tour was ‘ TVXQ! World Tour ”Catch Me’, while CNBLUE is ‘2013 CNBlue Blue Moon World Tour.’ The variations of the names hold more than just a title, but a significant meaning behind.
It was revealed on how CNBLUE named their concert ‘Blue Moon’, and it is absolutely because Blue Moon only comes once in a while. When the two full moons come together, the second full moon is called the Blue Moon. Since this is their very first world tour, they wanted it to be very special, just like a Blue Moon.
Days after their concert in Malaysia, CNBLUE will be releasing their second Japanese album, What turns you on?, on 28 August. Fans are anticipating for the Japanese release but at the same time they are also curious if there will be any plan on launching a Korean album soon. The boys assumed fans that they are constantly writing songs. Once they are ready, it will be the time when they will release an album. This is exactly the reason why they can’t confirm any specific timeline for their next album.
As K-Pop artists always strive to look different and unique from other groups, CNBLUE was asked how they can assure fans that their music is different from others. They humbly disclosed that there can never be a precise definition of their music, but they think their songs are catchy, songs that will touch fans and they will know instinctively that these are CNBLUE’s songs they are listening to right now.
