Lee Hyori is set to release an album around Spring 2013 to commemorate her 15th year anniversary in the Korean music scene.

Her agency B2M Entertainment announced that she will not release any new songs and will unveil a new album this coming March or April.

According to a spokesperson for the agency, the project is not set in stone and may be revised over time but Lee, whose last album was in 2010, said that it has “been a while since her last album.”

Although Lee has not been very active in the music industry, she has been working on establishing and promoting animal rights as well as fulfill her role as a television personality.

Her last album, H-Logic was in the centre of plagiarism allegations after seven tracks written by a composer named Bahnus was a rip-off from several singers including US singer, Jason Derulo.

Mnet Media, who was Lee’s label at the time, took Bahnus to court to sue him for swindling the company more than $26,000 USD. The court ruled that the composer, who also lied about his education, was sentenced to a year and six months behind bars.

Bahnus had also swindled another artist named Lee Hyun.

Are you looking forward to Lee Hyori’s comeback? What kind of concept do you think she should try this time?
