From Zombie To Goblin: Gong Yoo Tops Brand Value Ranking For February And March

After the successful run of his drama ‘Goblin’, Korean actor Gong Yoo is continually adding achievement after achievement. The actor has topped the brand value ranking for the months of February and March, according to Korea Reputation Center.

With over 36 million pieces of data collected and analyzed, the ‘Goblin’ actor received the highest consumer participation rate among 25 actors. The actor was the most talked about on movie personality online between February 17 and March 17.

The 37-year-old actor is best known for his roles in Korean dramas ‘The 1st Shop of Coffee Prince’ and ‘Goblin’. He also headlined the box-office hit ‘Train to Busan’ in 2016.

Following Gong Yoo, actor Lee Byung Hun ranked second in brand value rankings. ‘My Love From the Star’ actor Kim Soo Hyun took on the third spot. The actor is set to return to the big screen with action thriller ‘Real’ which also stars Sulli, Lee Sung Min, and Sung Dong Il.

Actors Jo Jin Woong, Jun Ji Hyun, and Hyun Bin were also included in the list, ranking fourth, fifth, and sixth respectively.

According to Korea Reputation Center head Koo Chang Wan, “While Gong Yoo topped the list for two consecutive months, Lee Byung-hun, Jo Jin-woong, and Hyun Bin rose to the top this month.” However, the center also admitted that the amount of data collected for this month decreased by almost 50 percent.
