Lee Dong Wook Chosen As Ambassador For PyeongChang 2018 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games

Fans must be proud of Lee Dong Wook!

In a ceremony held by the Olympics Organization Committee on January 12 in Seoul, actor Lee Dong Wook has been appointed as honorary ambassador for the PyeongChang 2018 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, as well as Kangwon tourism.

Notably, he is the fifth actor to be chosen as the goodwill spokesman of South Korea’s first Winter Games, following actors Lee Min Ho, Kim Woo Bin and more.

Lee is set to partake in various promotional activities in and out of South Korea for the upcoming Winter Games.

The heartthrob shared: “I felt emotional that another Olympic Games will be held in the country, as I remember watching the Summer Games 30 years ago in Seoul when I was a child. I’ll do my best to attract the eyes of global fans to PyeongChang and help them participate in the Games.

He also revealed his plan to watch the PyeongChang Paralympics with fans in March as he already bought 1,000 tickets for the upcoming event.

Meanwhile, the PyeongChang 2018 Olympic Winter Games is set to take place from February 9-25 in PyeongChang, Gangneung and Jeongseon cities, Gangwon Province.
