Chart trends: Davichi’s “Turtle” continues to climb upward
As Gaon unveiled its last weekly chart of March 2013 (topped by Lee Hi‘s Rose, followed closely by Busker Busker‘s phenomenon Cherry Blossom Ending), Davichi‘s Turtle comes at what-should-be the song of the month (unless the monthly charts unveiled on April 11th show correction of numbers already published). With 70,508,817 digital aggregate, Davichi’s Turtle should top the Gaon Monthly charts, which means Davichi will be awarded ‘Artist of the Year’ for the month of March on the next prestigious Gaon awards.
What is even more amazing for the celebrated CCM duo is that Turtle rose in the charts compared to its previous week (the third week) to accomplish even better results and sales: from 5th on their 3rd week with 14,746,087 DA to 4th on their 4th week with 15,047,333 DA. Just like label mates T-ara, Davichi is known to have longevity in the charts. They are confirming this form with its unusual achievement.
Being released on April 1, their latest song Be Warmed has a fair chance of topping the monthly charts of April. Should Davichi accomplishes so, they would be matching Big Bang achievement, who topped the monthly charts last year two months in a row with two different songs from their album, Alive.
Congratulations to Davichi for their enormous success!

Singer Chaeyeon is still well and alive despite suicide rumors
Solo singer Chaeyeon is still very much alive, despite the rumours of her suicide which have been in circulation since last week. It all started through a SBS entertainment program which stated that Chinese media reported:
“After being active in China, Chaeyeon has committed suicide.”
Chaeyeon posted photos of herself online to disprove the rumours and showed her displeasure at the shock and grief that these rumours had caused her family. She said:
“My family was shocked, and my mom called me in hysterics. I had no choice but to take this picture to prove that I’m well.”
While it is true Chaeyeon has been in China over this last year, she has had no thoughts of suicide. On a side note, she is in China for promotional activities.
What do you think about this incident?
