Japanese should be rejoicing right now! Girls’ Generation announces their 3rd tour in Japan, and it will all be happening next year.
The girls are scheduled to tour around six cities in Japan with 12 performances that will kick off in April next year. Aside from the tour, their upcoming Japanese album Love and Peace will be released on December 11, 2013. A free live show will also be happening on December 14, held at Yokohama Arena. Tickets for this event will be available through lottery for those people who bought the album.

Recognized for her various talents, Girls’ Generation‘s Sooyoung was chosen as the sole host for the 2013 Women’s Film Festival that will be held on December 5.
Despite her busy schedule, Sooyoung accepted the job of being the host. The organizers had recognized her talent not just as a girl group idol, but also for her talent in acting and hosting. A representative of the event also said that “It’s uncommon for a female star to host ordinary award ceremonies alone, so this will become a place where Sooyoung’s talents as an MC can be identified.”

Showing her gratitude to the school who honed her knowledge in theater arts, Girls’ Generation‘s Seohyun donated 100 million Won to her university, Dongguk University.
On November 19, Seohyun attended the annual donation ceremony which was conducted at Dongguk University. She revealed that the reason behind the generous act is to help students who have big dreams but unable to pursue due to lack of money. It was also revealed that the idol star had intended to keep it as a secret but after some encouragement from her professor, she decided to publicize it since the purpose of it is for a good cause.
In related news, Seohyun and fellow member Yoona both attended Dongguk University with theater as a major. Yoona was being admitted back in 2009, followed by Seohyun in 2010.

Being loved and recognized all over the world, Girls’ Generation‘s Hyoyeon is featuring in the November issue of Italy’s L’uomo Vogue.
Dressed in a Korean traditional skirt partnered with a chequered jacket, Hyoyeon showed her natural beauty, earning a praise from the magazine’s author that describes her as a K-pop female emblem.
The magazine spread did an Asian special which features some of South Korea’s most influential figures. Alongside Hyoyeon, G-Dragon who graces the cover of the magazine issue, Lee Byunghun, Kim Heesun, Super Junior’s Choi Siwon, Jo Sumi and Seoul’s City Mayor Park Wonsoon were also featured in the same magazine.

Dressed in colorful clothes from the casual street brand Feltics, Sunny captures the heart of her fans with her cute and playful side. The funky street graffiti backdrop accentuates Sunny’s boyish charm. Girls’ Generation‘s largest international fan club, Soshified.com, launched a fund raising project for the victims of super-typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines called #WishesForPH.
The organization aims to collect relief funds from fans all over the world to help the greatly affected families. The collected funds will be donated to UNICEF. The project also aimed to create awareness by spreading the word by making the topic a worldwide trend through Twitter.
On November 8, The Philippines was devastated by a super typhoon named Haiyan. The unfortunate event triggered the kind hearts of the international community. Various K-Pop communities also launched their own fund raising drive to help the victims of said calamity.

An unexpected event happened to Girls’ Generation‘s Jessica on her way back to Korea. She was manhandled at the Hong Kong airport.
On their way back to Korea, the artist was pushed by one of the airport guards against a handrail causing her to have a nasty fall. It was reported that she suffered from minor injuries. SM Entertainment informed the public that Jessica already received some treatment for her bruises and is currently resting at home.
Fans who saw the reports about the recent incident can’t hide their disappointment about what happened. However, they are happy to know that the star is completely healing and no activities will be halted because of the incident.
