Shinhwa tops charts with ‘This Love’
Shinhwa is back with a new album, The Classic, and a new chart topper This Love.
Last week, Lee Hyori rolled over the charts and scored an explosive Perfect All Kill with Miss Korea which went on to top the weekly Gaon charts with an impressive 38 million DA. However this week, she relinquished her lead to 4Minute and Roy Kim. The two artists have been battling for the past four days without anyone able to overcome the other but were however brushed away by the joint release of Seo In Young and Vibe. However it should only be a matter of hours before Shinhwa takes the lead with This Love. Their latest title-track is currently topping six real-time charts and well positioned on the other five.
While it is too early to call for success, it should be noted that very few male idols top multiple charts upon release. With six real-time charts topped, Shinhwa scored what some media outlets call an All Kill, though it should not be confused with Instiz certified All Kill when an artist has to top not only five charts simultaneously but all 22 existing charts (11 real-times + 11 daily charts).
Congratulations to the legendary idol group Shinhwa for the current achievement!

Lee Hyori certifies Perfect All Kill with ‘Miss Korea’
A three years hiatus does not seem to have hurt the popularity of Lee Hyori as the solo singer made her long awaited comeback with the pre-release of Miss Korea ahead of the album release on the 21st. She has just proven herself with a prestigious perfect all kill, which perfectly means she is ranked first on every daily and real time music charts of Korea currently, as well as leading on Instiz ongoing weekly points.
Lee Hyori is also currently topping Melon‘s roof which further confirms the explosive answer for Miss Korea. She has accomplished this impressive result despite the comeback of 2PM. However, the boy band album is hardly seemed to be any digital threat to Lee Hyori as it fails to top on any chart, and is currently dropping for its 2nd position behind Miss Korea. 2PM has one more title track to unveil on 11 May.

PSY’s ‘Gentleman’ certifies all-kill
PSY registers a new certified all-kill with his latest song Gentleman, which means the track has topped every real-time and daily charts of Korea. This huge accomplishment is expected due to his previous huge success of world hit Gangnam Style, and Gentleman‘s success, for once, will not really be measured by its performances in Korea but in the rest of the world where the song has also entered the iTunes charts of many countries.
Instiz could go on to certify Gentleman as a Perfect all-kill starting on Sunday night if PSY manages to maintain the current form and edges over K.Will‘s Love Blossom to top its weekly charts
Gentleman has also hit Melon’s roof nearly twenty times since its release. It is continuing to record the best chart performance in the Korean charts which any song could possibly have.
Congratulations to PSY and let’s hope this success will last as long as his previous notable hit, Gangnam Style.

Davichi scores 3rd all-kill in four weeks with “Be Warmed” featuring Verbal Jint
Amongst the top artists that made a comeback last month, Davichi was one of the few to meet success after the duo scores their third all-kill in just four weeks. If we include their OST of ‘Iris 2′ released in February, Davichi managed the incredible feat of topping Melon with four different songs in just seven weeks.
The last track of Davichi second full-album Be Warmed featuring Verbal Jint, was finally released and had since topped almost all the charts except Olleh Music and Monkey3 where it currently ranks at 2nd.
Presently with all its three title tracks of Mystic Ballad, Davichi ranks within the iChart Top 10; tops Melon with Be Warmed and rounds the Top 3 with Turtle, which is already a month old release.
In a few days, Gaon will upload its Monthly charts for March in which Turtle may have a strong chance of topping.
In the meantime, enjoy Be Warmed featuring the classic rapper Verbal Jint below:
