Kpop Statistics Germany reveals ranking polls result
Recently, a statistical organization about Kpop in Germany, K-Pop Statistics Germany, has created a poll in seven different categories: top 25 boy groups, top 25 girl groups, top 10 male singers, top 10 female singers, top 10 hip hop artists, top 10 indie artists, and top 10 Kpop entertainments.
About 2,065 Kpop fans from Germany participated in the polls, with 96,1% correspondents are female and 42,35% of the age range from 15 until 17. Most of the correspondents have started to listen Kpop since 2008-2011.
The result has been announced continuously from April 1 until April 5.
The first place of top 25 boy group category goes to Big Bang with a total 38.12% votes, followed by B.A.P. on the second place with 31.45% votes and Super Junior on the third with 30.99%.
For the next category, 2NE1 ranked first for top 25 girl groups category with 54.83% votes followed by Girls’ Generation with 47.73% and SISTAR with 28.35%.
Big Bang’s G-Dragon secured the first spot for the top 10 male singer category. K.Will became the second with 14.20% and JYJ’s Kim Jaejoong seized the third spot with 13.08%
The best female singer goes to Ailee with a total 41.51%, beating BoA and Hyuna on the top 10 female singers category.
Epik High saved their first spot for the best 10 hip hop artist category. The trio won against Jay Park who ranked second and G-Dragon who ranked third.
Nell won against Busker Busker and 10cm for the top 10 indie artists category with a total 40% votes.
The last category is top 10 Kpop entertainments and the first place goes to YG Entertainment with 68.68% votes. S.M. Entertainment ranked second while Cube Entertainment ranked third.

Forbes Korea reveals the ‘Top 10 Celebrities’
Forbes Korea recently released the ‘Top 10 Celebrities’ and it was none other than Psy who topped the list!
According to an article which will appear in the April 15, 2013 issue of Forbes Asia, Psy is the top celebrity based on “income, appearance fees, number of endorsements and hits on search engines as well as magazine cover appearances and mentions in other media,” as cited by the website. Considering the massive success of Gangnam Style not only in Asia but in the whole world, Psy’s gross income increased, making him the top celebrity in Korea.
Following Psy were Girls’ Generation, Son Yeon-Jae, Kim Soo-Hyun, BIGBANG, Park Tae-Hwan, Song Joong-Ki, IU, Kim Yu-Na and Super Junior consecutively. Check out the full article here.

Instiz releases ‘50 Best Korean Idol By American Chart’
It is known to Kpop fans that some Korean artists have ventured out of Asia and set their sights on the western market.
From fan meetings, solo concerts, album promotions and even live television guestings, the artists were able to prove that they can handle the competition and capture the hearts of fans from all over the world.
As proof of their success, Instiz recently released the top ‘50 Best Korean Idol By American Chart’ through their official website. BIGBANG topped the chart, followed by Super Junior, Wonder Girls, Girls’ Generation and PSY, consecutively. See the complete list below:

IU to replace Girls’ Day and Rainbow for ‘Twin Towers @ Live 2013 in Malaysia’
IU is confirmed to replace Rainbow and Girls’ Day for Twin Towers @ Live 2013 in Malaysia.
Earlier on, we reported that Rainbow and Girls’ Day will take the stage at Twin Towers @ Live 2013 in Malaysia. Due to unforeseen circumstances, the organizers have announced that IU will come on board in place of Rainbow and Girls’ Day. U-Kiss‘ appearance will remain unchanged to perform for the fans alongside Demi Lovato on March 22, while IU and the newly added international guests, Backstreet Boys, will share the stage on the following day.
Twin Towers @ Live 2013 will take place at KLCC for two days on March 22 and 23.

IU reveals album covers for Japanese album ”Can You Hear Me?”
Female soloist IU has released the official album covers for her upcoming Japanese mini-album entitled, “Can You Hear Me?”
Displaying her innocent charm, the concept shoot featured IU wearing a white sweater and skirt for the perfect theme.
“Can You Hear Me?” is scheduled to be released in two versions; limited edition (CD+DVD) and a normal edition (CD). The CD version will include five exclusive songs; “Beautiful Dancer”, “Truth”, “Fairy Tale’’, “Voice-mail” and “New World.” Meanwhile, the remake track “The Age of the Cathedrals” will be included in the limited edition release, one of the most popular songs from the musical Notre Dame de Paris.
‘’Can You Hear Me?’’ will also feature a song written by the singer, showing off her skills as a singer-songwriter.
