Tim Hwang takes the lead in Samsung Galaxy S4 short film

Korea’s Prince of Ballads, Tim Hwang, appears in the latest campaign of Samsung Galaxy S4 with short film titled, Meet A Life Companion, which premiered in Seoul.

The short film features Tim as a cafe owner who communicated with a disappointed Japanese lady customer that stepped into his cafe one late night through Galaxy S4’ S Translator.  The two strangers eventually became friends and might even turn into ‘life companions’.

Meet A Life Companion is currently screened in major theatres and cable television across Korea.

Meanwhile, Tim is the guest DJ for KBS eFM 101.3 ‘K-Popular’ for two weeks.  The highly popular radio programme in English introduces the latest in K-pop to listeners around the world.

XIA Junsu reveals his “Foolish Heart” for KBS drama ‘Heaven’s Order’

On 15 May, JYJ’s XIA Junsu released his latest OST track titled Foolish Heart for KBS drama ‘Heaven’s Order’.

Foolish Heart reflects a range of emotions that highly suits Junsu’s sentimental vocal and is produced with unique variety of piano and string arrangements. The song is expected to be able to create a new dimension to appreciate this Korean historical drama series further.

Shinhwa lives for ‘This Love’ in new music video

Legendary idol group, Shinhwa, is back on the music scene once again as a group with the release of its full music video for title track, This Love.

Having been in the industry for 15 years, the group comes back with something fresh, labelled the ‘voguing dance’. For their title song, they once again worked with Andrew Jackson, as well as Lee McCutcheon and James Flannigan, who were the creators of Venus.

The music video is directed by Cho Soo Hyun, who they had previously worked with for their Once in a Lifetime MV. He is also the man behind PSY‘s Gangnam Style and Gentleman.

LEDApple’s Hanbyul and Zia release ‘With Coffee’ music video

Recently, female vocalist Zia and Hanbyul, who is the main vocalist of LEDApple, released a love duet digital single With Coffee on various Korea music portals.

The song is a medium tempo song with sweet melodies that gives warm and heartfelt sentiments. The music video shows Zia and Hanbyul recording their song as well as snippets of them chattering and having fun. Just like the sweet lyrics representing the message of two lovers, the duo gives a sweet romantic atmosphere in the video.

LEDApple covers 4Minute’s ‘What’s Your Name?’ on Music Note

LEDApple has released their 19th episode for their 50-episodes project Music Note. This time round, LED Apple rearranges 4Minute’s latest hit track, What’s Your Name?

The boys have been covering songs of famous groups with the fusion of their own rock style. This time, it’s not an exception as the 5-member band rearranged the song in its own style, giving a refreshing twist to What’s Your Name?

The group main vocalist and also lead rapper, Hanbyul, also hinted that the boys will be covering American rapper Macklemore’s Thrift Shop.
