Brazilian man undergoes plastic surgery to look Korean

By  |

It’s no secret that the Hallyu Wave has expanded from Asia to other parts of the globe. Fans worldwide have shown their support and love for K-pop and Korean culture through various means. We have seen people express their love in extreme ways, however, there is one particular person who takes the cake.

We all would have once tried something to look like our idols, for example, replicating their diet or buying products they’re seen wearing. It’s common that people walk into plastic surgery clinics and ask to have a similar facial feature of their favourite actors.

However, a male from Brazil, known as ‘Xiahn’ had undergone 10 surgeries to look more East Asian. Along with spending approximately $3,100 on his eyes and other procedures, he also changed his hair colour, and eye colour through contact lenses.

He is reported to be an exchange student in Korea, and was fascinated by plastic surgery during his time there. He reveals:

“Koreans have many surgeries to modify the shape of their eyes and become more like Westerners,”

“It was easy to tell when one of them had done it, walking on the street wearing sunglasses and a surgical mask,”

I have no regrets, and I don’t intend to have any more procedures.”

What are your thoughts on his transformation? Do you think he looks more Korean?

If it makes him happy then it’s his decision and his life. We are no one to judge. I myself am not Asian, yet I have had many people tell me that I have asian-like features. When I was younger (toddler age) I looked like an asian baby boy (haha). It’s pretty weird noting that I’m hispanic. All in all if you want to get surgery its up to you and if you don’t then cool it is still up to you. Just know that we were all created by the loving God and he makes no mistake in the way he shaped you.

P.S. I can’t wait to go to S.Korea and soak in all the culture!!

He’s not hurting anyone. If it makes him happier, I’m happy for him. Who am I to judge?

He looks amazing, still needs work though to look more Eastern Asian – I wouldn’t mind having similar things done.
