2020 Asia Song Festival Lineup: ATEEZ, Kang Daniel, THE BOYZ, And More!

The 2020 Asia Song Festival announces a star-studded lineup for the two-day event!

Hallyu fans can look forward to the 2020 Asia Song Festival as they unveiled a packed first lineup! Various artists hailing from Asia will perform, including many top K-pop artists.

The 2020 Asia Song Festival is set to be held on October 9-10, and held in Gyeonju. On the 9th at 3 PM KST, the “2020 ASF Forum-Asia Popular Music Industry and Global Hallyu” stage will commence. Meanwhile, the “ASF Main Stage” will begin at 9 PM KST on the 10th.

The first lineup for the “ASF Main Stage” includes ATEEZ, Kang Daniel, THE BOYZ, Red Velvet’s Irene and Seulgi, Momoland, iKON, and OH MY GIRL’s YooA. AKB48 from Japan, Project K from Myanmar, and Thailand’s Milli will also appear. 

Impressively, the “ASF Main Stage” will utilize Information Communication Technology (ICT). The digital tool will allow online multi-casting for fans and artists to interact in a non-face-to-face event. This effort by the event and its artists attempts to comfort fans disappointed by the inability to enjoy in-person concerts. 

Additionally, prior to the concert event, the “2020 ASF Forum-Asia Popular Music Industry and Global Hallyu” stage occurs on October 9. Entertainment industry officials from seven Asian countries and tourism-related researchers will explore popular culture, the global expansion and the status of the Hallyu wave, and the changes to the Hallyu market post-COVID. Presentations are pre-recorded and aired. 

Moreover, fans can watch performances by singer Yoon Do Hyun who also introduces the acts for the “ASF Busking Stage”. These performances will release on the 2020 Asia Song Festival website, as well as THE K-POP YouTube channel from October 5 to October 9. 

Starting in 2004, “Asia Song Festival” has connected Asian countries with music performances for sixteen years. The event heralds Asian cultural exchange and celebrates diversity. 

Regarding this year’s festivities, SBS MediaNet stated, that they hope the concert will provide comfort and hope to people suffering from COVID-19, and that it will be a time to connect with many Asian artists while enjoying the concert in Korea.
