Ring In The New Year With Your Favorite K-Pop Artists During The “2020 MBC Gayo Daejejeon: THE MOMENT”

Say goodbye to 2020 and welcome the new year during the 2020 MBC Gayo Daejejeon: THE MOMENT digital event, featuring a star-studded lineup of your favorite K-Pop artists!

This year’s 2020 MBC Gayo Daejejeon: THE MOMENT unveiled a full line-up of K-pop’s biggest stars, who will ring in the new year with K-pop fans across the globe. The event will occur on December 31 in Ilsan, at the MBC Dream Center.

Additionally, Jang Sungkyu, Yoona, and Kim Seonho will MC the ceremony.

MBC Gayo Daejejeon

MBC released a lineup of performing artists, raising expectations for the event. The lineup features legendary K-pop artists, as well as world-renowned Korean trot artists. Artists to grace the stage during the show include Uhm Junghwa, Song Ga In and Henry, Lim Youngwoong, MAMAMOO, NCT, and the newly formed Park Jinyoung and Rain.

In particular, the unit between Park Jinyoung and Rain builds anticipation for the show as it will be the first stage unveiled for their comeback. Many fans look forward to the collaboration between the two music geniuses, who cross over many musical genres, keeping fans on their toes regarding what to expect from their project.

Additionally, Lim Youngwoong, attributed to triggering a trot frenzy in the Korean music industry during 2020, will perform a stunning stage. MAMAMOO, recognized for their unique charm and sharp skills will also deliver a memorable performance. NCT 2020 excites with a performance featuring all 23 members.

Meanwhile, other artists to perform at the 2020 MBC Gayo Daejejeon: THE MOMENT include GOT7, ITZY, Stray Kids, TWICE, WINNER’s Kang Seungyoon, Norazo, THE BOYZ, Kim Shinyoung, (G)I-DLE, MONSTA X, IZ*ONE, aespa, OH MY GIRL, LOONA, Jessi, and Paul Kim.

Safety Precautions

Lee Hyori, part of the Refund Sisters unit, will not attend. The artist lives in Jeju and will refrain from travelling due to COVID-19 precautions. However, the rest of the members, Eom Junghwa, Jessi, and Hwasa will still attend as a unit.

The 2020 MBC Gayo Daejejeon: THE MOMENT will proceed as a socially distanced, non-contact event. MBC announced their priority while conducting the event would be the safety of all staff and artists. As such, all stages were pre-recorded in line with COVID-19 prevention and safety strategies.

The event will air at 9 PM KST on December 31.
