Super Junior delivered remarkable performances during the Super Show 8 in Manila.
Make way for the Hallyu Kings! Super Junior came back to the Philippines and stunned old and new fans alike in their Super Show 8 Infinite Time at the Mall of Asia Arena on December 15.
Super Show 8 in Manila: The Kings Are Truly Back
It’s hard to fight off the tears when “Superman” was suddenly played in the background. Every word memorized, the beat, the memories, right then and there, I knew, Super Show 8 was about to begin.
The screams of all of us, the fans, even before Super Junior braced the stage were deafening! The sapphire blue ocean covered the whole arena, we were eager to finally see our beloved group.

To add to our growing excitement, a VCR of Infinite Time showing the charms of the Super Junior members was played on the screens, marking the last minute before the show officially started.
And truly fit for kings, Super Junior opened up the show with their song, “The Crown”.

Clad in their white suits, the group performed “A Man in Love” next and made the crowd roar when they danced to “Bonamana”.
Greatest Hits, Timeless Classics
Super Junior has given us a lot of songs that we can sing word per word. And surely, they didn’t miss on making the fans sing along with them during the Super Show 8 in Manila with their greatest hits!
Dancing smoothly to “Sexy, Free & Single,” Super Junior made the crowd went wild. And when the first beat of “Mr. Simple” dropped, the loud screams got even louder.
Super Junior performed “Devil”, “Mamacita”, “Black Suit” and their newest hit, “Super Clap!”
But one of the highlights of the concert was probably the heartwarming, tear-jerking song, “No Other”. And the song was supposed to exude sweetness and blossoming love. But maybe, “No Other” has brought back memories, has made us realize that, “Super Junior is back,” and made us all cry.
The ultimate heart-stopping song that made everyone lose all their inhibitions, made us all feel all sorts of emotion was none other than the infamous “Sorry Sorry!” Of course, a Super Show would not be complete if the Hallyu Kings did not perform one of the songs that started the Hallyu wave.
Super Show 8 in Manila: A Burst of Talent
The vocals are now the dance kings and rap masters. The dancing machines turned vocalists. The special stages took us to a whole new spectrum. Siwon and Leeteuk rapped. Shindong belted out high notes. Donghae and Eunhyuk proved they are amazing vocalists too. Kyuhyun showed his amazing dance skills. Ryeowook sizzled in his dance. While Yesung? He might just steal Eunhyuk’s main dancer position.

Looking forward to next year
During the ending ment, Leeteuk did not shy away from revealing they will be back for Super Show 9! So even before the Super Show 8 ended, we’re pretty much looking forward to the next one.
Truly, this concert was a testament to Super Junior’s superior skills! The group didn’t miss the chance to show how they are the Hallyu Kings with their hit singles even non-fans can sing along to.
Even after 15 years, Super Junior still got it! They are indeed ageless.
