CNBLUE’s Jung Yong Hwa Fires Up Stage & Greets Fans Before Military Enlistment
CNBLUE frontman Jung Yong Hwa put up a fiery performance for his local fans, reflecting his dedication as an artist amidst current issues surrounding him.
Jung Yong Hwa led a two-day solo stage, STAY 622, at Hwajeong Gymnasium of Korea University in Seongbuk-gu, Seoul on March 2 and 3. It was his last fan meeting and concert before joining the military camp in two days.
The embattled idol-actor who is still in dispute regarding the preferential admission at Kyunghee University did not let his personal issues affect the special moments with his fans.
Undoubtedly one of the best idols in providing fan service, Jung Yong Hwa gave a fascinating look with the passionate repertoire that he prepared for his fans whom he won’t be seeing in the next two years. He set up an upbeat opening stage for his concert with songs “Navigation”, “Summer Dream” and “Password”, brightening up the already lively mood of the event.
The CNBLUE leader mentioned his current burden over the unfavorable result of police investigation regarding his stained graduate school entrance, but he was quick to appease his fans that he is brave and ready to face everything.
True to his promise of giving a spectacular night, the concert hall erupted when Jung Yong Hwa nailed the lyrics of “Checkmate”, which seemed to be representing his current heart. “I think of you every time I make music. So I hope you look forward to meeting me again in the future”, he said.
He continued the explosive stage with his pumped song renditions as he shared how his young dreams include being at the right age to enter military service for the country.
In the waning moments of the event, Jung Yong Hwa gave a heartfelt promise to his fans. He said, “This is my last performance before enlistment. My family, friends, and CNBLUE brothers all came. I am happy to finish this event with you and enlist. Thank you. I will finish my army duty nicely. I will be with you forever, no matter what anyone says. I will come back in style and soar even higher in the future. Let’s meet again in good health”.
