CONCERT RECAP: NCT DoJaeJung Enchants Fans In “PERFUME” FanCon In Manila

Last Saturday was filled with fond memories with NCT DoJaeJung!

NCT DoJaeJung – the newest unit of the famous and talented South Korean boy group NCT – graced the SM Mall of Asia Arena last June 24 to hold their first-ever fan concert Scented Symphony: Perfume in Manila.

Consisting of members Doyoung, Jaehyun, and Jungwoo, the three-member unit delighted NCTZens (NCT’s fandom name) with their charms and performances. 

Impressive Performances

Looking like princes in modern times, the boys donned white elegant suits to open the show. They kicked off the FanCon with a captivating performance of “Kiss,” one of the B-side tracks from their debut mini-album Perfume.

The well-loved trio also showed why they are a perfect fit for each other with their stable live vocals and synchronized choreographies. Much to the delight of the crowd, the idols performed their other tracks “Perfume,” “Dive,” “Can We Go Back,” “Strawberry Sunday,” and “Ordinary.”

Scent-sational Interview 

To connect with fans more, NCT DoJaeJung gamely answered some questions regarding their music and goals.

With the warm welcome from fans, the team expressed that they are all happy and excited to return to Manila, which Jaehyun wittingly describes as “sweet as Vanilla.” 

“We’re back with new music and new style. I guess that’s the best part of coming back here,” said Jaehyun. 

If given a chance to add a member to their unit, Doyoung selected Mark, saying he is the “perfect rapper” for the team. 

Jungwoo then revealed that he loves trying the local food in each country he goes to. As for the Philippines, he chose Lechon and Halo-Halo as his top picks. 

Special treats for fans

Three lucky fans were also able to play a game with Doyoung, Jaehyun, and Jungwoo. Each of them got partnered with the members, where they guess the words that are related to NCT DoJaeJung’s songs.

Two hours with NCT DoJaeJung flew by very fast last Saturday. The members capped off the night by bowing to each side, showing their appreciation to the Filipino and even international fans who attended the show. 

Doyoung expressed his gratitude, “It’s actually the first time for us to have a concert here as NCT DoJaeJung, and I’m so thankful. I want you guys to stay healthy so we can see each other again.”  

“I definitely had fun tonight and I miss you all. Please stay tuned,” said Jaehyun.

Jungwoo added, “The fact that I got to spend time with you is a lovely feeling. I would like to thank all of you for your hot response. We hope you keep cheering for us and please remember that we are always here for you as well.”
