Debuted in 2011 with a quick role in the film Blind with Kim Ha Neul, Park joined then newly-established agency Blossom Entertainment, which also housed Song Joong Ki and Cha Tae Hyun.

Securing his first major role in 2012 for SBS family weekender Wonderful Mama, he continued to build his acting portfolio through roles in youth drama Naeil’s Cantabile in 2014. That same year, he also played roles in films A Hard Day’s Night, which was screened in Cannes; and the all-time highest-grossing South Korean film – The Admiral: Roaring Currents.

Branching out to a new role as the Music Bank emcee, Park was praised for his impeccable chemistry with Red Velvet’s Irene. His established hosting talent has led KBS to tap him as special host whenever the reliable music show goes on tour overseas.

His acclaimed performance in 2015 series Hello Monster earned him the best supporting actor award in KBS year-end drama awards.

In late 2015, Park Bo Gum joined the cast of Reply 1988, a successful tvN franchise series, which is known to have propelled its cast members to stardom. True to its reputation, the well-loved and top-rating series shot its cast to remarkable popularity.
