Hwang In Youp Wins Hearts at Manila Fanmeeting Tour [IN LOVE]

South Korean actor Hwang In Youp charmed his fans, known as HIYILYs, during his intimate fan meeting at the New Frontier Theater in Manila on January 25, 2025.

At 34 years old, the star of hit dramas Family By Choice and Why Her returned to the Philippines, a country he fondly calls his “second home,” having spent part of his youth studying in Davao.

The stage radiated cozy vibes, featuring a sofa stacked with cushions, a coffee table adorned with potted plants, a teddy bear, and books alongside a framed photo of the actor. True to his quirky personality, Hwang perched on a pile of cushions to ensure fans could see him better, sparking laughter and affection from the crowd.

Throughout the evening, he shared personal anecdotes and favorites with his Filipino fans, expressing his love for local dishes like Jollibee, lechon, sinigang, and halo-halo for hot days. He even highlighted tropical fruits like coconuts, pineapples, and watermelons. Hwang also revealed his love for photography, a self-designed pop socket, and his serene getaway spot, Sevit Floating Island along the Han River.

The fan meeting was packed with highlights, starting with Hwang serenading fans with a heartfelt cover of Nothing’s Gonna Change My Love For You. He then discussed memorable moments from Family By Choice, including an impromptu re-enactment of his iconic shoulder scene, which drew cheers from the audience. Fans couldn’t stop gushing over his youthful charm, especially in a school uniform.

Fan Service “Hwang” In Youp

No fan meeting is complete without special moments shared up close with fans! Four lucky attendees were randomly selected from seat numbers to join Hwang In-Youp on stage and reenact iconic scenes from his drama. Each chosen HIYILY picked a letter from the word “LOVE,” with each letter tied to a specific scene. The poses required fans to get up close with the actor, making the experience even more memorable. To top it off, they got to take Instax photos with him, capturing a once-in-a-lifetime moment.

The actor went on to perform songs for his fans such as BTS V’s single Slow Dancing. The actor also had a conditional gift for all of the attendees which was a Hi-Touch Event if they won team games with him such as shooting hoops and couple jump rope. With a lot at stake, fans who were called to play did their best and won all the games required for the Hi-Touch chance with the heartthrob actor.

As the fan meeting drew to a close, the actor excitedly shared his plans for his acting work, saying that his next project would show a sexier side of him. “I really tried my best to show you what you want to see of Hwang In-Youp. Mahal kita.” He also added that the number of male and female fans who attended seemed very balanced and this made him feel happy. 

Fans were then treated to Hwang In-Youp’s promise. As some fans left the venue, they were able to say goodbye up close to the actor in the hi-touch event while those with MVP tickets also enjoyed taking group photos with Hwang In-Youp.
