“KCON LA 2023” Announces RAIN, Stray Kids’ Bang Chan, & IVE’s Jang Won Young As Special MCs

On top of its stellar lineup of performing K-pop acts, KCON LA 2023 will also feature amazing artists as special hosts!

RAIN, Stray Kids’ Bang Chan, and IVE’s Jan Won Young will grace KCON LA 2023 as special MCs.

IVE’s Jang Won Young

First, IVE’s Jang Won Young will host the first-day show of KCON LA 2023. She will splendidly open the door to the K-Culture Festival. Her team is a representative 4th-generation girl group with unrivaled topicality, continuing the global craze by entering the US Billboard charts for seven consecutive weeks with “I AM” and “Kitsch”.


The original World Star RAIN was selected as the MC for the show on the second day. Participating as a special line-up artist for this KCON, Rain is the top-notch artist in Korea. Rain’s skillful show of progress and presence are expected to further strengthen the symbolism of the performance.

Stray Kids’ Bang Chan

Stray Kids’ charismatic leader Bang Chan will host the show on the last day and decorate the finale. His group continues to receive a lot of attention around the world. They recently bagged a new record by updating the highest number of pre-orders in K-POP history with their 3rd regular album ★★★★★ (5-STAR).

Meanwhile, KCON LA 2023 will be held at Crypto.com Arena and LA Convention Center for three days from August 18 to 20. A total of 21 K-pop acts are included in the stellar lineup, including ATEEZ, CRAVITY, EVERGLOW, (G)I-DLE, INI, ITZY, IVE, JO1, Kep1er, Lapillus, NMIXX, RAIN, SHOWNU X HYUNGWON (MONSTA X), Stray Kids, TAEMIN, TAEYONG, THE BOYZ, WayV, XG, xikers, and ZEROBASEONE.
