Kim Jong Kook wants you to find me next month on South Korea’s concert stage!

Singer and Running Man member Kim Jong Kook has announced through Instagram account regarding his upcoming solo concert, titled 2019 Kim Jong Kook Concert <김종국 찾기>, happening on March 30 and 31 at the Samsung Hall of Ewha Womans University.

As it will serve as his first solo concert in nine years, Kim relayed his hope to see a lot of fans in the concert venue and promised to treat them to a lot of good music and stories.

“It’s been nine years. I’m having my solo concert this time! Hope to see you guys there,” he wrote on his Instagram, along with the concert poster.

Ticketing for the concert will start on February 22 at 12 p.m. KST via Interpark.

Although he has become more notably known for his variety appearances in the past years, Kim Jong Kook also established an impressive career as a singer. He debuted as a member of the first generation idol group Turbo in 1995.

Following Turbo’s disbandment, Kim fostered a career as a ballad singer in 2001, which was initially met with lukewarm results. In 2004, he successfully returned as a soloist with his hit single “One Man”.

The following year, he released another chart-topping single called “Lovable”. Through the single, he received the Artist of the Year awards from all major broadcasting stations in South Korea namely SBS, KBS, and MBC. He became the second artist to achieve such feat following the renowned singer Cho Yong Pil.

He went on to solidify his position as a solo artist, not only in South Korea, but in China as well.
