Defend Your House And Rip Name Tags With PH ‘Running Man’ United
Are you ready to rip and run, Filipino ‘Running Man’ fans?
Running Man United, the Philippine-based fan club of popular Korean variety show ‘Running Man’ is back with an action-filled race this June.
The fan club, which organizes events with games inspired by the South Korean variety show, has previously organized the biggest name tag ripping event in the country dubbed as ‘Running Man United The Challenge: 7-7-7’ on January 28. Prior to this, it has successfully held six name-tag ripping events in the Philippines.
To celebrate the fan club’s anniversary, Running Man United returns with ‘Race of Thrones’ on June 25 at 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. PST. Participants will be divided into eight houses, representing each member of the show.
Because of its popularity, ‘Running Man’, which comprises of Yoo Jae Suk, Ji Suk Jin, Kim Jong Kook, Haha, Song Ji Hyo, Lee Kwang Soo and new members Jeon So Mi and Yang Se Chan, has garnered both local and international followings.
The South Korean variety show began airing in July 2010 with six official members including Yoo, Ji, Kim, Haha, Lee, singer Gary and actor Song Joong Ki. Song Ji Hyo who first appeared as a guest, soon joined the line up. After School‘s Lizzy was also a former member of the show. Its 41st episode saw the departure of Song Joong Ki, while Gary left the show in 2016.
‘Running Man’ is known for being an “urban action variety” and for its challenging and unique games, especially name tag ripping.
