SUPER JUNIOR: A GROUP FULL OF ALL-ROUNDERS

Super Junior debuted in November 2005 on SBS’ music program Popular Song with their first single “Twins (Knock Out).” This was followed by the release of their debut album Twins a month later, which recorded about 28,500 copies sold during the first month of its release.

Initially created as an all-boy project group with members to venture as actors, MCs, models, and radio hosts after their promotions, Super Junior became a fixed group in 2006, the year when the last and youngest member Kyuhyun joined. The boy group consequently attained popularity with the release of their single “U” in the same year, which recorded a total of 1.7 million downloads.

Since their debut, Super Junior has released 12 full-length albums, two compilation albums, two extended plays, six live albums, and two single albums. They catapulted into stardom with their best-selling single “Sorry Sorry” in 2009 and further gained international recognition with their catchy and game-changing tracks “Bonamana,” “Mr. Simple,” and “Sexy, Free, and Single,” among others.

On July 12, the group will release their eleventh Korean studio album The Road: Keep on Going. Their upcoming concert tour will be held in conjunction with the release of this offering. The first stop of Super Show 9: Road will be held from July 15 to 17 at the Jamsil Indoor Gymnasium in Seoul.
