TWICE Shines In First Dome Tour Concert In Japan

TWICE made a brilliant start to its Dome Tour 2019 #Dreamday in Japan on March 20 at the Kyocera Dome in Osaka, officially becoming the first K-Pop girl group to hold a dome tour in the country and the fastest foreign artist to perform at the Tokyo Dome.

Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Jihyo, Mina, Dahyun, Chaeyoung, and Tzuyu fulfilled fans’ dreams in their sold-out concert, with performances of their greatest hits including “One More Time”, “Like Ooh-Ahh”, “Candy Pop”, “Wake Me Up”, and more.

In addition, the girls treated their fans with fun-filled and colorful stages, partnered with sweet interactions. Meanwhile, fans expressed their warm welcome to the girls with heated cheers. They also sang along and brightened the venue with the bright lights of the girl group’s light sticks. In response to the audience’s energy, the members relayed their gratitude and credited their fans for making such event possible.

TWICE will hold another concert at the Kyocera Dome on March 21, before bringing the tour to Tokyo Dome on March 29 and 30. Next month, they will perform in Nagoya Dome on April 6.

The nine-member girl group officially debuted in Japan on 28 June 2017 through the release of #Twice. The album debuted at the second spot of Oricon Albums Chart. The same year, the girls came out with their first Japanese single “One More Time”, which became the fastest-selling release by a K-Pop girl group and the single with biggest first-day sale.

In 2018, TWICE released its second Japanese-language single called “Candy Pop”. The girl group then embarked on its first Japan concert tour, titled Showcase Live Tour 2018 “Candy Pop”. In September of the same year, Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Jihyo, Mina, Dahyun, Chaeyoung, and Tzuyu unveiled its first Japanese-language studio album BDZ, followed by its 1st Arena Tour 2018 “BDZ”.
