WINNER And iKON To Dominate Philippine Concert Scene With Consecutive Shows In November
Philippine YG stans, where you at? WINNER and iKON will be heading to Manila in November!
Fans of YG Entertainment boy groups, WINNER and iKON are in for a treat in November as the two groups are set stage their respective concerts in a single weekend.
Seungyoon, Jinwoo, Seunghoon, and Mino are set to stage their 2018 Everywhere Tour in Manila on November 10 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.
Meanwhile, B.I, Bobby, June, Jinhwan, Chanwoo, Donghyuk, and Yunhyeong will hold their 2018 Continue Tour in Manila on November 11.
Both concerts will mark the boy groups’ first ever solo concerts in the Philippines.
WINNER previously performed in the country as part of the All or Nothing World Tour concert of their labelmates, 2NE1, back in 2014.
Since the two groups announced the locations of their upcoming tours which include Manila, fans of WINNER and iKON in the Philippines have expressed excitement in seeing the boys perform their hits and dominate the Philippine concert stage for the first time.
Ticketing details and seat plan are expected to be announced in the coming days.
YG Entertainment’s New Generation of Hit Makers
WINNER and iKON are both products of survival reality programs launched by YG Entertainment.
Members of the two groups competed against each other as Team A and Team B in WIN: Who is Next in 2013. Seungyoon, Jinwoo, Seunghoon, Mino, and Taehyun emerged as the winning members and later debuted as WINNER.
In 2014, Team B members once again competed for a shot at debut through Mix & Match. After a series of challenges, all members of Team B, with the addition of Chanwoo, were confirmed as final lineup of YG Entertainment’s new boy group, iKON.
The two boy groups went on to forge their own music careers as a group, following their respective debuts.
WINNER released hits “Color Ring”, “Empty”, “Sentimental”, “Really Really”, among others.
iKON also came out with chart-topping songs including “My Type” and “Love Scenario”. The boy group is set to make its return with new extended play, New Kids: Continue, on August 2.
