7 Things Why ‘EXO’rDIUM In Manila’ Is A Night To Remember
It was truly a memorable night.
After the successful ‘EXO’luXion in Manila’ last year, EXO came back for its concert’s 3rd installment. On February 25, Filipino fans gathered at the SMART Araneta Coliseum to watch the much awaited ‘EXO’rDIUM in Manila’.
Of course, the boys performed unbelievably well despite being incomplete. Furthermore, there were things that made the night even more memorable.
First: Acoustic Rendition of Songs
During the concert, Chanyeol proved how gifted he is with various musical instruments. While he played the guitar, the rest of the boys serenaded their Filipino fans.
They sang the acoustic rendition of their songs such My Lady, My Turn To Cry, Moonlight, Call Me Baby, Love Love Love and Lady Luck, to which Sehun and Kai gracefully danced to.

Second: EXO in Elf Costumes
When EXO returned from the second break to sing Heaven, they came out wearing elf costumes, complete with a cape, big shoes, EXO lightstick, and a pointy hat.
With the Filipinos’ natural tendency to adore anything cute, they immediately squealed and cheered for them. Because how often do you see your idols dressed like that?
Moreover, they started to move around the stage freely, and fans went frenzy every time they came near to their sections. Plus, Chanyeol kept on shuffling in that outfit while Chen did a little bit of a butt dance.
We swear, this was the cutest moment that we have yet seen EXO.
So lucky to have you. So lucky to be your love 😍😍😘#EXOrDIUMinManilaDay1
Third: Suho’s Cheesiness
While Chanyeol, Sehun, Kai, Xiumin and Baekhyun went to the backstage for costume change, Suho, Chen, and D.O. were left behind to talk to the audience.
This was when Suho showed his cheesiness, which made the fans ‘kilig’ (means: exhilarated by an exciting or romantic experience). According to him, “You (the fans) made me crazy. You didn’t change Manila fans. I was thinking how to express myself because I was surprised. Amazing. Awesome. My precious.”
He also mentioned that Manila was his favorite place in the Philippines among other popular tourist destinations, and that he was truly happy.
Fourth: Xiumin’s Discovery of Feet Stomping
During a break, the members yet again communicated with the audience, and Xiumin accidentally created a “trend”.
When it was Xiumin’s time to talk, he spoke about how passionate the fans’ reactions were, and was surprised to hear a kind of sound from the audience for the first time. He described it as a sound, which makes it seem like the roofs are going to fall on them.
He emphasized that he has only heard it from Filipino EXO-Ls, and demonstrated it personally by kneeling down and made stomping sounds with his hands.
With the fans’ eagerness, they easily caught up and stomped their feet loudly to support Xiumin’s claim.
He was definitely amazed to hear that, and even said that they were experiencing lots of things coming to the Philippines. This happened frequently whenever fans wanted to cheer the boys on.
PS: Kai was in the backstage when Xiumin demonstrated it. So when he heard it for the first time, he was shocked, and then laughed it off when the members explained to him.
Fifth: Chanyeol, Xiumin and Sehun’s Hiphop Stage
Sure, Chanyeol, Xiumin and Sehun usually rap in their songs. But during Do It Together, they performed a charismatic and powerful stage.
The said track consists of heavy beats accompanied by their bad-ass rapping that will automatically make you jump or bang your head.
As of writing, the track is yet to be released. Fans are definitely hoping that they would officially promote the song. It is currently only performed exclusively in EXO’rDIUM concerts.
Sixth: Our Love is Unstoppable Fan Project for Day 1
Fan project is a project initiated by fans to show their support for the idols.
Normally, they would distribute hand banners before the concert, and ask them to raise it during a certain song. However, this one became more memorable because Suho noticed, and even mentioned about it while they were on a short break.
Congratulations, Team EXO Philippines!
Seventh: Silver Ocean
One of a fangirl’s dreams is to be part of the ocean in their fandom color.
During EXO’rDIUM in Manila, EXO-L’s silver lightsticks absolutely shined all throughout the event. It was truly a heart-warming sight, and surely, every fan was proud to be part of this.
