FameUs Boys Visit Cancer Patients in the Philippines
The all-male rookie group FameUs first came to the Philippines on this February for a 2-week long set of activities. Their busy schedule included fan meetings, mini-concerts, music video filming for their song You Can Play With It (가지고놀아도돼) and ended with a children charity event.
The band is now back in Manila since April 23, and are staying for another set of 2-week long activities, which include album promotions and another charity event.
During the first visit on February 18, the group visited the beneficiaries of The Child Haus (Center for Health Improvement and Live Development) in Quezon City. They spent two hours filled with TLC (tender, loving care) to uplift the spirits of children battling cancer.
The boys sang Original Pilipino Music (OPM) like Pusong Bato and Na Sa’yo Na Ang Lahat for easier understanding of the children, while member Daeyoung sang his own rendition of Taeyang’s hit single Eyes, Nose, Lips.
The children had fun learning basic Korean words from the members of FameUs. They also loved singing the Korean version of the nursery rhyme Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star, taught by their new-found thoughtful Korean brothers.
FameUs left messages on the Freedom Wall of the center to remind the children how important their lives are and how many people are waiting for them to get better.
FameUs boys made their comeback on March 17 with their first mini album, Famous, which has six tracks. This mini album shows the versatility of the members in the tracks with classical arrangements. The songs are empowering and inspiring listeners who are in a romantic relationship.
