To make these brands known across all platforms, the team behind Yeppunonnie, in cooperation with Ouniwang, launched ‘K-Beauty Philippines’ – 1st Showcase of Beauty Products.

Held on January 24 at Valkyrie at The Palace, Taguig City, it was the perfect avenue to discover new beauty and makeup finds to be in the know with the current trends in Korean makeup and skin care.

Interactive booths were set up, showcasing various K-Beauty brands. Attendees were given the opportunity to experience firsthand of the benefits and wonders of Korean makeup and skin care.

An overflow of freebies, including raffles and games, kept the attendees on their toes throughout the night.

Featured beauty brands were 3W Clinic, Abbamart, Aery Jo, Amini, Aqutop, Holika Holika, IPKN, Killing Coverst, Lebaton Smart Cosmetics Brand, Makeup Helper, M.U.S.T, RiRe, Scinic, and Vant.

Demonstrations by Korean brands Makeup Helper, Abbamart, and Aery Jo gave glimpses of the current makeup trends. They said, less is more, and indeed, the natural look is the way to go. Think pastels and nudes to keep that subtle and fresh-faced look.

Day-to-night makeup was the rage, as well as makeup artists provided useful tips on how to achieve such looks.

Makeup demonstrations were the highlights during the main program.

The chosen ‘Best Blogger Of The Night’, who won a free trip to South Korea, was makeup artist Raiza Contawi. She has been designated as the official ambassadress of Yeppunonnie Philippines.

Next, three lucky winners were randomly drawn by guest beauty blogger, Michelle Dy, for a chance to ‘meet and greet’ Jay Park.

Excitement and anticipation built up as the evening’s celebrity guest performer – South Korea’s Rap and hip-hop artist Jay Park took center stage as he momentarily sang a Bruno Mars classic Nothing On You.

Paused midway during the song, he segued and sang his hit tunes Ain’t No Party Like An AOMG Party, All I Wanna Do, Mommae, Solo, and Joah of which, the enthusiastic crowd sang along.

Armed with his smooth vocals accompanied with slick moves, Jay Park continued to charm his way through to the hearts of the audiences.

Jay Park made the rounds to interact up close and personal with his fans. He briefly joined DJ Ron Poe at the DJ’s booth, jamming to EDM and hip-hop beats.

With the influx of beauty brands in the market today, Yeppunonnie gives K-Beauty fans a solid takeaway that achieving the right kind of beauty need not have to be burdensome.

Beauty, in its truest sense, must be effortless and natural.
