There was a Manila party up in here, up in here with KARD!

South Korean co-ed group KARD capped off last week with an ultimate Manila party for its Filipino fans.

Fan-initiated live event-making platform MyMusicTaste brought the K-Pop group in the Philippines on February 9 at the KIA Theatre.

J.seph, B.M, Jiwoo, and Somin opened the 2018 WILD KARD in Manila, with “Into You” and “You in Me”, tracks from the group’s second extended play You & Me, which was released on November 21, 2017.

KARD then upped the excitement of Hidden KARDs a notch higher through their group introduction. The 2018 WILD KARD in Manila marked their first ever performance in the Philippines, as well as the final leg of their Asia tour.

The group reciprocated the warm welcome of Filipino fans, with “Trust Me”, a bonus track from the You & Me physical album, “Don’t Recall”, and “Rumor” from its debut album Hola Hola.

After giving the audience a sneak peak of what was to come, J.seph, B.M, Jiwoo, and Somin also answered fans’ questions.

Before the start of the concert, Hidden KARDs got the opportunity to write down their questions for the group.

B.M was the night’s mood maker as he jokingly answered a fan’s question on how they found the Philippines. “We looked at the world map,” he joked.

The rapper, who originated from Los Angeles, shared that he has a lot of Filipino friends back home , who introduced him to the country culture. “I always wanted to come to the Philippines,” he said, adding that he enjoys local foods like sinigang, lumpia, and adobo.

During the greeting ment, Jiwoo also shared her experience roaming around Bonifacio Global City and eating Jollibee. She also answered a fan’s question about her “absence” at the gym.

According to Jiwoo, she goes to the gym but does not post about it on social media. On the one hand, rapper J.seph revealed a “secret” about Jiwoo who, according to him, sneezed in a weird way.

“Whenever we sneeze, we go ‘aching’, but Jiwoo goes ‘achoo’,” he said. Jiwoo acknowledged J.seph’s observation, and admitted being teased about her sneeze.

B.M and Somin got Hidden KARDs’ heart thumping with their sweet answers to the questions. A fan asked B.M, “Do you like me?” To which he responded, “No, I love you”, partnered with finger hearts.

A fan asked Somin if she wants to go to gym with him. “If there’s a chance, I would like to go to gym with you and take pictures. I think it will be fun,” she said. Somin also shared that the first five minutes at the gym make her body weak, but after about 30 minutes, she does not regret going there at all.

Aside from going to the gym, Somin also likes getting her nails done, shopping, eating rice cakes, having coffee, and a lot more during her free time.

KARD also granted fans’ wishes, including dancing to INFINITE’s “Be Mine” by J.seph, TWICE’s “TT” by Somin featuring B.M and J.seph, and freestyle hip-hop dance by B.M. In addition, the members and Hidden KARDs made a fan’s birthday extra special by singing her a birthday song.

Going solo with WINNER, Taeyeon and self-composed tracks

After communicating with fans through the Ask KARD segment, the members wowed the audience in each of their solo stages, beginning with Jiwoo’s rendition of WINNER’s “Really Really.”

“I enjoyed listening to the song,” Jiwoo explained as to why she chose the song for her solo stage.

J.seph mesmerized the crowd with his self-composed track, which was inspired by his trainee days, while Somin sang Taeyeon’s “Fine”.

B.M took over the stage with “Living Good Pt. 2”, available on his Soundcloud. According to him, the song expresses his gratitude for every good thing that happened in the past year.

KARD does Ariana and Bruno

Although the show was nearing its end, the energy never waned as KARD continued to dominate KIA Theatre, with intoxicating performances of its tracks and covers.

Following their solo stage, J.seph, B.M, Jiwoo, and Somin went West with their covers of Ariana Grande’s “Side to Side” and Bruno Mars’ “24k Magic.”

The crowd went all-party mode with “Push & Pull”, a track from You & Me album, “Hola Hola”, and “Oh NaNa” from Hola Hola album.

The 2018 WILD KARD in Manila saw its end with “Living Good” as the final song of the night.

Towards the end, KARD expressed its gratitude for the support and love from Filipino fans. “Thank you all. We can’t shine bright by ourselves. We thank you for your support and love,” J.seph said.

The 2018 WILD KARD in Manila was over, but B.M promised to return to the Philippines for another ultimate Manila party through a concert.
