Making it even more special, the shoot was held in collaboration with Italian luxury brand Tod’s, which Joy openly endorses. Joy held and modeled some of the latest and most incredible pieces from the brand and was able to do so in a confident and striking manner.
ON HER DRAMA
In the pictorial’s accompanying interview, Joy shared her thoughts about her recently concluded drama on JTBC titled The One and Only.

She stated that she still cannot let go of her character Seong Mido from her heart and she still feels sentimental even after the filming ended. ”
“I thought a lot about death while filming this drama, it didn’t feel that heavy to me. There’s a fine line between life and death and the message of this drama was “all you have to do is do your best when you’re alive.” If anything, I think a lot of the fears I had around death disappeared. The fact that humans are bound to die eventually, I’ve accepted it more calmly than before. Then I started to think about my priorities in life.”
Joy also said that her co-stars Eunjin and Yewon led her really well during the filming. She added that they treated her as if she was Mido. “As I spent more time with the unnies, I think I was able to be completely immersed in my role. At first, I was nervous so I had a bit of a hard time, but more and more as the episodes progressed, I really enjoyed the process of creating the character Mido.”
ON HER HOBBIES AND HER SOLO ALBUM
Joy also happily shared that she got recently got her driver’s license and have been really into driving lately.
“I really like driving. Because in that moment, it feels like it’s a time just for myself. I really like having the window down and listening to music while feeling the breeze. More than anything, I just like that feeling of going somewhere on my own will. It’s so healing for me,” she said.

When asked about what kind of music she listens to when she’s on a drive, the idol stated, “It really depends on the season and the situation, but lately I like listening to R&B the most. A tempo that doesn’t lean towards one side, one that’s exciting and rhythmical enough. I think it suits my energy these days.
Joy, who released her first solo album last year titled Hello, also stated that what concerns her the most these days as a vocalist is the way she expresses a song more colorfully. “Of course, I do love the voice that I have but there are still times when I run into a wall. My voice is kind of delicate and high so I feel like I’ve reached my limit at times when I want to give more impact. I’m working really hard to overcome that.”
