New Korean dramas add fun and fascination to the currently airing lineup.

In case you missed it, Doctor Slump and  Queen of Divorce recently premiered. Correspondingly, My Demon, Welcome To Samdalri, Tell Me That You Love Me, Maestra: Strings of Truth and  Like Flowers in Sand recently concluded with LTNS and A Shop For Killers approaching their final episodes.

Set in the heart of branding, Seongsu-dong, the series features a romance fantasy that tells the story of a team leader and intern who exchange souls after an unintentional kiss. The series stars Kim Ji Eun and Lomon.

In the drama, an unknown actress decides to fake marry her boyfriend to become the first main character in her life. Meanwhile, her prospective brother-in-law strongly opposes this marriage.

Marry My Husband | tvN |

Marry My Husband is about a woman who was murdered after witnessing her husband’s affair with her best friend. She returns to the past 10 years ago and gets a chance to redo her life. It aims for a story of retribution where the female lead claims back her destiny.


Love Song For Illusion | KBS2 |

ased on a webtoon of the same name, Love Song for Illusion blends fantasy, history, drama and romance as it traverses the story of a man with two conflicting personalities and a woman who loves him with a refreshing affection and fierce obsession.

The Impossible Heir | Feb 28 | Disney+ | *NEW

The Impossible Heir threads on how the illegitimate son of a Korean conglomerate owner partners with his ambitious childhood friend who stops at nothing to seize their place at the top of the societal food chain.


Pyramid Game | Feb 29 | TVING | *NEW

Pyramid Game is based on the school psychological thriller webtoon of the same name. Each person is graded through monthly voting. A second-year student at Baekyeon Girls’ High School became a sniper to end the game. Kim Ji-yeon has been chosen to play the role of Seong Soo-ji, who leads the rebellion, newcomers such as Jang Da-ah, Ryu Da-in, Kang Na-eon, Jeong Ha-dam, Shin Seul-gi, and Ha Yu-ri are expected to compete in the game.


A Shop For Killers | Disney+ |

Set in modern-day Korea, A Shop For Killers sees college student Jeong Jian diving for cover in her childhood home after a series of highly skilled assassins get her in their sites. Desperately fighting to survive, Jian will begin to remember invaluable lessons her uncle taught her before his apparent suicide, drawing on them to help her stay alive.

Confused and cornered, Jian will have to work fast to uncover her uncle’s hidden past and figure out why so many people are desperate to access the house and the extensive arsenal hidden inside.


Queen of Divorce | JTBC |

Queen of Divorce is billed as the story of a “bad spouse” punishment solution service company aiming to put an end to a troubled marriage life raised by a client.

Lee Ji Ah plays the role of Kim Sara, the team leader of the divorce settlement company Solution. Sara, a former daughter-in-law of Korea’s top law firm, loses her everything overnight after being stabbed in the back by her husband.

Kang Ki Young plays the role of Dong Ki-joon, Sara’s business partner and an advisory lawyer in Solution. Ki-joon is a person who boasts extraordinary tenacity and tact to the point where he was nicknamed ‘shepherd” during his time as a prosecutor.

The series is based on the original webtoon of the same name, written by Kkomabi, whose story garnered substantial attention for its gripping and shocking narrative. The series adaptation is brought to life under the expert direction of Lee Chang-Hee (Strangers From Hell, The Vanished), renowned for his exceptional talent in handling genre features.

Flowers That Bloom At Night tells the story of Jo Yeo-hwa, a widow with two faces who is the daughter-in-law of a powerful noble family. She lives quietly without seeing the world outside as a modest virtuous woman during the day At night, when the sun goes down, she jumps over the fence and takes care of those in need without anyone knowing.

Living a spectacular double life, she accidentally gets entangled with Park Suho, and dreams of a tomorrow she has never imagined.


Flex x Cop | SBS |

Flex X Cop follows the story of a chaebol detective who catches criminals.

Joining the lineage of SBS Friday-Saturday heroes, Ahn Bo Hyun portrays Jin Yi-soo a parachute detective and a third-generation childish chaebol who loves having fun.


LTNS | TVING |

Giving adultery a funny twist is the premise of TVING’s LTNS.

LTNS is a comedy-drama of an estranged couple. They threaten an adulterous couple in order to earn money, and in the process, face their already ruined relationship.

The series aims to show the reality of sexless couples as well as stories of various adulterous couples.

In the drama, Esom (The Third Charm) and Ahn Jae Hong (Be Melodramatic) are a couple who have been married for five years without a home, children, or a relationship.



Saturday-Sunday

Grand Shining Hotel | Feb 10| TVING | NEW

Grand Shining Hotel tells the story of a woman trapped in a novel and pursues a mysterious author who controls everything to save a man who has become the target of a serial killer.

Director Myung Hyun-woo, who co-directed the dramas Search, Stranger 2, and Live, and writer Park Se-hyeon, who won the ‘O’PEN’ contest, CJ ENM’s new storyteller support project collaborated on the project.

Expectations are high that a mystery metafiction series full of wit and tension will be created through clever character situations and the interesting setting of a mysterious laptop that automatically writes novels.

Captivating the King | tvN |

Captivating the King chronicles the cruel fate of King Lee In who is high-ranking but despondent, and Kang Hee-soo who dreamed of revenge but fell in love with him.

Director Jo Nam-kuk, who was recognized for his solid directing skills through dramas such as The Good Detective and The Untouchables, and writer Kim Seon-deok, who started the legend of a well-made historical drama for tvN with The Crowned Clown collaborated for the series.


Doctor Slump  | JTBC |

Doctor Slump threads on the story of two rivals who were reunited in the darkest period of their lives. In the process, they become each other’s light bringing excitement, laughter, and warm solace.

Portraying the role of Yeo Jung-woo, a star plastic surgeon who falls into the worst slump of his life is Park Hyung Sik. Meanwhile, Park Shin Hye plays the character Nam Ha-neul, an anesthesiologist suffering from burnout syndrome.


My Happy Ending | TV Chosun

My Happy Ending is a human story about a woman who only chased success and faced a shocking truth due to the betrayal of the people she trusted. The topic of what true happiness is raised through a mystery thriller that begins with the misfortune of those around you sacrificed for someone else’s happiness.

Reuniting after six years since Confession Couple, Jang Nara and Son Ho Jun challenge a psychological thriller story in My Happy Ending.

Notably, helming the project is director Cho Su-won of I Hear Your Voice, Pinocchio, Still 17, and Doctor John fame, raising viewers’ expectations.

In addition, joining Jang Nara and Son Ho Jun are reliable actors So Yi Hyun, Lee Ki Taek, Kim Hong Pa, and Park Ho San.
