3 Stray Kids Songs To Prep You Up For The “2ND WORLD TOUR MANIAC in MANILA”
PH Stays, the time has come! Stray Kids will once again perform on the Philippine stage for the 2nd World Tour Maniac in Manila.
The eight-member boy group will perform for two days, on March 11 and 12, 2023, at the SM Mall of Asia Arena. The first performance is scheduled to begin at 6:00 PM, while the second one will start at 5:00 PM.
As we get near the weekend, here are three Stray Kids songs you need to add to your playlist right now, and get pumped up for the upcoming concert days!
WOLFGANG
The first Stray Kids track that should add to your playlist is “WOLFGANG.” This song is as precious as any other in the boy group’s discography. Not only was it produced by the group’s 3RACHA, but it was also the song the group performed during the final round of Mnet’s Kingdom: Legendary War in 2021.
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, a well-known composer from the classical era, was the source of inspiration for the song. Its lyrics tell the story of a pack of wolves who create music by channeling their creativity through Wolfgang’s masterpiece. It draws parallels between the way wolves typically hunt in packs and the eight members of Stray Kids who are running towards fame, ready to devour every moment as it comes.
God’s Menu
Stray Kids said that “even if you go away for a moment, eventually you’ll want us again,” and they’re not wrong! Who wouldn’t immediately stand up and groove to the engaging beat of “God’s Menu,” when it has such a wonderful meaning?
“God’s Menu” is the title track of the group’s first full album, which was released in June 2020. Straightforwardly, the song serves as an invitation to listeners all around the world and an introduction to Stray Kids’ various music tastes and colors.
The song also symbolizes the group’s aspiration to make a name for themselves. Particularly, it features clever kitchen-themed lyrics that amazingly hooked both fans and casual listeners to its upbeat and catchy tune.
Maniac
“Maniac” basically tells listeners that you don’t have to be worried about what other people will say about your oddity. It’s your life and you can show off yourself as much as you want.
Released on March 2022, the track is included in Stray Kids’ 6th EP, Oddinary. The song is written and produced by 3RACHA, “Maniac” which features a bass-synth drop, bird chirping, and drill sounds. This employs an even more powerful image for the group.
As a trap, electropop song, the lyrics back up the album’s theme of “odd” people who defy the social norms set by the world, similar to Frankenstein’s monster.
