2. Hongdae (HongIk University Area)

It’s a place where all the new MatJip (yummy restaurants) always pop up first. If you’re a couple that loves eating and likes to try different kinds of foods, and experiencing the energy of the youth; this is the spot for you! Insadong is famous among the foreign tourists as they have a lot of traditional places and things to offer. There are many traditional things you can try here, for example: trying on Hanbok (Korean traditional dress) and eating a big traditional meal. This is where you can find souvenirs and a lot of tourists. Couples come here to enjoy the touristy vibe and also have tea in one of the traditional cafés. Samcheongdong is a walking distance away from Insadong and also full of cafés and restaurants, so for couples who like walking and dating, this course is popular as well!

4. Cheonggyecheon

Time to rest your mind and feet at Cheonggyecheon. This is another popular place for couples to rest, talk and mingle as the sun sets and during both day and night time. It’s especially popular during the summer, as people come out to avoid the heat and cool their feet in the flowing water. The lighting and cool mood at night makes this one the most popular date night spots.

5. Han River (Hangang)

Bring your chicken and beer and have a picnic at the side of Han River, a.k.a. Chimaek (Chicken + Maekju (beer)) This is a popular running and jogging course in the morning, a place for a picnic during the day and Chimaek during the night! Especially during the summer! With the huge river flowing across, you can escape the busy Seoul life with all the skyscrapers and the people. This is a refreshing open place where you can have some alone time with your significant other!
