5 (G)-IDLE Songs To Get You Hyped Up For “Just Me ( )I-dle In Singapore”
SG Neverlands, get your Neverbongs ready as we are getting closer to seeing the girls live in Singapore!
Dubbed as “monster rookies” of 2018, (G)-IDLE has been praised for their musicality and diversity and is considered to be one of the most successful South Korean girl groups today. The girls are also recognized as a “self-producing” idol group, breaking stereotypes of female K-Pop groups.
They have been actively involved in the creation of their music where Soyeon has helped write and produce a majority of the group’s songs. Furthermore, Minnie and Yuqi have also co-written numerous album tracks.

In celebration of the quintet’s upcoming world tour Just Me ( )I-dle In Singapore, we have listed a few of our top (G)-IDLE tracks to get you ready!
“LATATA”
LATATA is the first and title track of the group’s debut mini-album “I Am” and it is written by Soyeon. LATATA is a Moombahton track which consists of soothing yet passionate beats and a repetitive chorus. The track can be thought to be an onomatopoeia expressing the urge to dance passionately to one’s love.
“Senorita”
Senorita is the first and title track of the group’s second mini-album “I Made” and Soyeon personally wrote lyrics and produced the track. The track is a passionate Dance pop tune mixed with the sound of various instruments such as bass guitar, piano and brass. The lyrics depict a lust-at-first-sight attraction between (G)-IDLE and a mystery suitor.
“Oh My God”
Oh My God is the track single for (G)-IDLE’s third mini-album “I Trust” and it was composed by Soyeon. It is a dark, trap-infused song with lyrics that was conceptualized around the theme of “self-trust” and riff on contrasts such as light and dark; and purity and sins; to communicate the idea that true divinity comes from knowing and trusting oneself.
“HWAA”
HWAA (also known as “화 (火花)) is the second track and lead single of the group’s fourth mini-album “I Burn” and it was written by Soyeon. HWAA marks the last single that (G)-IDLE released as a sextet, before Soojin’s departure from the group in August 2021. The song is described to be one that expresses the feelings after a breakup with the ambiguous subject of “Hwa”. It sings about the pain of love using the metaphor of burning fire and colorful flowers in the cold winter sensibility. HWAA is the continuation of the storyline from “Hann (Alone)” and “Hann (Alone In Winter)” that the group had previously released in 2018 and 2021 respectively.
“TOMBOY”
TOMBOY is the title track of (G)-IDLE’s first full-length album “I Never Die”, making it the group’s most recent release. Produced by Soyeon, the song also marks the first release of (G)-IDLE as a quintet, following the departure of Soojin in August 2021. Musically, TOMBOY was described as a rock and pop punk song with lyrics about independence and breaking the mold of being the perfect girlfriend. It is definitely a song that fully reveals the girls’ unique and confident attitude.
