Ahn Bo Hyun
The eerie villain from Itaewon Class drew everyone’s attention with his unperturbed performance. Taking on the role of Jang Geun Won, the bad guy in the drama, Ahn Bo Hyun earned a lot of praises for his realistic portrayal.
What is impressive about the actor is that he has shown a tremendous growth as he transitioned from a boxer to an actor. Regardless, the actor withstood all the challenges and successfully depicted a character which held so much impact on the show.
Ahn Hyo Seop
Showing tremendous development, as he explores mature roles is Ahn Hyo Seop. Acknowledged as a newcomer with outstanding visuals, the actor also showed his prominence in acting as he sketches the multi-layered emotions of Seo Woo Jin in Dr. Romantic 2.
The actor was highly praised for displaying his own style and matching strides with veteran actor, Han Suk Kyu. Playing the righteous doctor with a tough exterior but soft heart, Ahn Hyo Seop made viewers fall for his charms.
Ong Seong Wu
Not only can he sing and dance, but can also act brilliantly. In his acting debut as main lead, Ong Seong Wu sweetly surprises as Choi Jun Woo, the shy introverted teenager in the drama, At Eighteen. Molding himself perfectly into the character, Ong Seong Woo exhibits his top-notch acting abilities.

A brief introduction to the Best New Actress nominees
Kim Da Mi
Kim Da Mi, who swept various film festivals as a new actress in the movie, The Witch: Part 1. The Subversion, made a home run with her first drama, Itaewon Class. Though it was her first drama project, the actress challenged herself by taking up an unconventional character role.
Depicting the role of a sociopath Jo Yi Seo, the actress delivers a stellar performance which satisfied the viewers. Kim Da Mi might not have long list of films or dramas in her acting portfolio but she has staged wonderful acts in all her roles and is definitely the actress to look out for in the future.
Han So Hee
The recently concluded show, The World of the Married which wrote new records, also led viewers to discover the talented Han So Hee. Enacting the part of a mistress, who is involved in acts of adultery, the actress appears hateful to the core.
Effusing vicious expressions, she does not falter even at the sight of seasoned actress, Kim Hee Ae as their characters face-off in the drama. Contrary to her character in the series, the actress has a kind personality. Recently, after the success of The World of the Married, she has been receiving a lot of offers for new projects.
Jeon Mi Do
Not many on-screen credits to her name, but Jeon Mi Do is already a renowned name in the musical world. She has also won multiple Best Actress awards for her musical stages. Therefore, it is quite interesting to see her getting nominated in this category.
Needless to say, the actress puts on a flawless portrait of her character in Hospital Playlist, even if she is a rookie when it comes to dramas. As Chae Song Hwa, she is a ray of sunshine who emanates all the warm feelings.
Jeon Yeo Bin
Jeon Yeo Bin is that jewel who was found through Be Melodramatic. The actress has already captured the hearts of the critics, and impressed the audiences as Lee Eun Jung in Be Melodramatic.
With her intricate portrayal of a headstrong woman who is emotionally broken after the of her lover, she evokes sympathy towards the character in the drama.
Jung Ji So
Transforming from the facade of bright eldest daughter of Lee Sun Gyun and Jo Yeo Jung in Parasite, Jung Ji So is a girl with a supernatural ability in the occult thriller, The Cursed.
Though still very young, the actress draws a range of emotions in her expressions. Her acting transition was so awe-inspiring, that it is difficult to tell that the rich elder daughter from the movie Parasite and the girl in The Cursed might be the same person.
Meanwhile, this year, the 56th Baeksang Arts Awards will broadcast live on June 5 at 4:50 PM KST, on the KINTEX 7 Hall in Ilsan.
