K-Pop rookie group with the highest music video views in 24 hours

Earlier this year, the beautiful and talented idols officially made their entry in the Korean music scene. The girls specifically debuted on February 12, 2019 with their first mini-album It’z Different. A day before the release of their debut album, they dropped the stunning music video for their very first title track “DALLA DALLA”.

Quickly after its release, the music video scored an amazing record for them as it garnered a total of 13,933,725 views on YouTube in its first day. Remarkably, the group now holds the honor of having the most-viewed K-Pop debut music video. They beat out the previous record set by IZ*ONE’s “La Vie En Rose”.

As of writing, ITZY’s music video for “DALLA DALLA” has now garnered more than 163 million views.

Stunning Debut On Billboard’s World Digital Song Sales Chart

Sizzling hot! ITZY’s debut track “DALLA DALLA” likewise gained a lot of love and support around the world as it entered Billboard’s World Digital Song Sales chart at No.3 spot.

Aside from reaching the high-rank on the well-known global music chart, the song was also already able to sell 2,000 downloads in the U.S. first week after its successful release.

Fastest K-Pop girl group to grab a music show win

JYP Entertainment’s new girl group ITZY took home the trophy during the February 21st episode of M Countdown. The girls now hold the record of being the girl group to get a first win on a music show the fastest, achieving such feat only nine days after their debut.

Breaking a 22-year-old record of S.E.S

On March 5, just 23 days after their debut, the K-Pop quintet amazingly broke a record set by the legendary girl group S.E.S.

Achieving their fifth music show win on M Countdown, the girls were crowned with the title of obtaining the most wins for a girl group’s debut song. In particular, their record surpassed the four debut music show wins by S.E.S back in 1997.

Achieving a triple crown on a music show in merely 26 days

In addition, the girls likewise beat out another well-loved K-Pop act’s record as they scored their triple-crown win on SBS’ Inkigayo. ITZY achieved the impressive feat in just 26 days after their debut while it took 86 days for 2NE1.

Fiery first-ever comeback

Making their very-first comeback last July, ITZY introduced “ICY” as their newest title song. The track off their second mini-album IT’z ICY  also brought amazing achievements for the girls. During their promotions for the song, Yeji, Lia, Ryujin, Chaeryeong, and Yuna particularly acquired a total of 12 trophies from different music shows.

Meanwhile, the group’s music video for their latest track “ICY” has now reached more than 112 million views as of December 1, 2019, 1 PM KST.

ITZY’s victories: Other impressive recognitions

Dubbed as 2019’s “monster rookies” in the K-Pop scene, ITZY continues to show off their growing popularity as they rake numerous feats from various award-giving bodies this year.

The quintet has won the “Female Rookie Idol of the Year Award” at the Brand of the Year Awards. Additionally, they took home the “Rookie Award” and “Female New Artist Award” from Soribada Best K-Music Awards and Genie Music Awards, respectively.

Moreover, just recently, the girls added two more awards namely “Rookie of the Year” from 2019 Asia Artist Awards and the 2019 Melon Music Awards’ “Best New Artist”.
