[CONCERT RECAP] B.I Shares A New Core Memory With PH IDs During “L.O.L The Hidden Stage In Manila”

B.I sets the Manila stage on fire as he performed hit tracks during his first solo concert!

What more could PH IDs wish for than B.I returning to Manila for his 2023 ASIA TOUR L.O.L THE HIDDEN STAGE? The whole PICC Plenary Hall is filled to the brim with passion and love on March 5, 2023, as every PH ID gathered to create another core memory with their beloved Kim Hanbin.

Six months after his 1st fanmeeting in Manila on August 27, 2022, Korean singer-songwriter Kim Hanbin, also known as B.I, returned to the Philippines through a solo concert.

L.O.L The Hidden Stage in Manila Concert Highlights

As soon as the lights go dim, every PH IDs raised their lightsticks to welcome Kim Hanbin. The rapper then begins to establish his dominance on the Manila stage with an explosive performance of “BTBT,” which is followed by his introductory track “Be I.” He then sang to captivate the audience with “One and Only” and “Waterfall,” after which he took a short break to greet his fans.

Even before he appeared onstage, the fans had been chanting his name over and over. The energy of Filipino fans seemed to have reached B.I as he complimented them, saying “You guys are very hot. You guys know how to enjoy. You know how to feel the vibe here.”

Continuing the much-awaited solo concert, B.I sang “Alive,” “Flame,” and “Illusion,” which absolutely had every PH ID at the edge of their seats. The genius songwriter continued to show off his groove with “Gray,” “LOVER,” “Help Me,” “Remember Me,” “Got It Like That,” and “Daydream.”

As B.I got closer to the crowd, the once empty night became magical. He went offstage to meet fans eye-to-eye while he sang “Tangerine” and “Nerd.” He made his way around every side of the venue to meet as many fans as possible, stopping occasionally so that they could take pictures and videos with him. B.I also performed “Stay” before leaving the stage for a while.

James Reid appears as B.I’s special guest

The organizer for B.I’s solo concert had dropped hints about a special performer days before, and it turned out to be the Filipino-Australian singer-actor James Reid. While B.I takes his time backstage, James Reid entertained the audience with his songs “u & i” and “Spotlight.”

When B.I returned onstage, he thanked James Reid for joining him and performing for the audience. B.I said that it was the second time they met each other. “The first time we met was at a concert in Seoul.” Additionally, he hoped to have more opportunities to maybe collaborate or perform together once more in the future.

B.I continues to create a new core memory with PH IDs

Returning to the main event, B.I continued to impress PH IDs with “Illa Illa” and “Endless Summer.” To everyone’s delight, he then proceeded to perform “Middle with You,” which had everyone at the PICC Plenary Hall jumping up and down to the groovy beat.

B.I took his time to stare at the crowd as he continued to perform “Keep Me Up,” “Numb,” and “Nineteen.” He took note of how beautiful the crowd looked and then performed the fan-favorite “COSMOS.”

Before continuing with the show, B.I was taken by surprise when a special fan video was played onscreen. It was a wonderful gift for the singer, as the fans composed the song themselves. B.I even praised them for the high-quality editing. “Amazing! Who made the song? I really like it a lot! It was really nice, and the quality of the video was superb.”

Still moved by the special fan event, B.I returned the love to his devoted fans through “Then” and “Re-Birth.” He then expressed his hopes to see PH IDs again as soon as possible.

B.I concludes his Manila concert with a promise

Just when we all thought the concert has come to an end, B.I returns for the encore stage. He wowed the crowd once more with “Flame” and Illusion,” before switching gears to playfully perform “One and Only,” his solo track from iKON’s 2nd studio album, Return.

The one-night show is never enough to uncover the endless love and support of PH IDs for B.I, and the same goes for the singer-songwriter. “Thank you for coming. It’s so great to see lots of Manila fans here. I hope I can see you guys again.” Officially ending the concert, Hanbin teased his upcoming album and promised to return to the Philippines as soon as possible.
