July 1: D.O’s Enlistment

Fans of the boy group will start the month with heavy hearts and tears in the eyes as D.O will begin his mandatory military service on July 1.

Shocking everyone with the news, SM Entertainment announced in May that the singer-actor decided to follow the footsteps of his Xiumin hyung and applied for active duty after a discussion with his members. The news came as a surprise to many that the EXO member became a trending topic in South Korea and other countries as well.

Posting on the boy group’s fan café, D.O personally addressed his enlistment news, saying he made the decision with a lot of thought and consideration. He also apologized for not having been the first person to inform them about it as he intended.

D.O also promised to return safely and healthy. He also thanked fans for their continuous support and relayed his hope for them to be happy and healthy.

With his enlistment on July 1, D.O becomes the second member of the boy group to start his mandatory military service following Xiumin.

The EXO member will kick off his Grand Line concert tour in Shanghai on July 6 and bring his live performances to Nanjing on July 20.

However, for those intending to purchase tickets to the concerts, you might have to catch the Honey singer in another venue or wait for additional dates as the tickets to the Shanghai and Nanjing concerts have been sold out in eight seconds and 25 seconds, respectively.

July 19 to 21, 26 to 28: EXO PLANET #5 – The EXplOration in Seoul

After the successful conclusion of their fourth world tour ElyXiOn in 2018, the boys of EXO will return on South Korea’s concert stage with another superb concert titled EXO PLANET #5 – The EXplOration in July.

The boy group will kick off the concert tour, which is expected to visit other cities worldwide this year, on July 19 at the KSPO Dome. A total of six concerts will comprise the Seoul leg of the tour from July 19 to 21 and from July 26 to 28.

Tickets to EXplOration in Seoul went on sale on June 4 for fan club members and on June 11 for regular ticket selling. As expected, tickets to the show were sold out in less than a second.

Fans of the boys can expect brand new stages and leveled up performances from Suho, Chen, Baekhyun, Chanyeol, Kai, and Sehun especially as EXplOration comes after the release of Don’t Mess Up My Tempo and Love Shot albums.

Unfortunately, Xiumin and D.O will be unable to participate in the concerts due to their military enlistment. Lay Zhang will most likely miss the first three shows due to conflict with his solo concert in Nanjing on July 20. For the July 26 to 28 concerts, SM Entertainment has yet to make an announcement regarding the participation of the singer-songwriter.

July: Chanyeol And Sehun’s Sub-Unit

The date has yet to be revealed but expect Chanyeol and Sehun to join the parade of releases for the month of July with their newest release as an official sub-unit of EXO.

A representative from SM Entertainment confirmed that the boys are preparing for their activities as a sub-unit, much to the delight of EXO-L worldwide.

Chanyeol and Sehun showed off their chemistry and harmony through “We Young”, a song from SM Station X 0, a collaboration between SM Entertainment and SK Telecom. The song peaked at the third spot of Billboard’s World Digital Songs chart.
