[FAN MEETING RECAP] Kim Seon Ho Illuminates Singapore With All Smiles Via “ONE, TWO, THREE. SMILE Asia Tour”

Charming and talented South Korean actor, Kim Seon Ho, took the stage in Singapore with his highly anticipated fan meeting ONE, TWO, THREE. SMILE on 15 September 2023 (Friday) at The Star Theatre.

Kim Seon Ho brought his undeniable talent and heartwarming presence to meet SG Seonhohadas, treating them to a memorable night filled with laughter and smiles. Read on to revisit heartfelt moments from Kim Seon Ho’s ONE, TWO, THREE. SMILE fan meeting in Singapore last Friday. 

Seon Ho commenced the show with a touching cover of “Every Day, Every Moment” by Paul Kim, setting the perfect tone for a memorable evening. Seonhohadas were immediately captivated by Seon Ho’s soothing voice.

In a heartfelt welcome, he greeted his fans, expressing how Singapore felt like a fairytale to him. The enchanting atmosphere of the city heightened the excitement and anticipation amongst the audience. 

During the first segment of the fan meeting – “Updates With Seon Ho”, he candidly shared updates about his life. He touched upon his recent movie “The Childe” which was released earlier this year. Despite expecting to hear the word “sexy” regarding his character, he humorously shared that he was told he suited the role of a killer exceptionally well. As an actor who has explored diverse genres, he also expressed his desire to play ordinary characters and be a “normal guy” on screen. 

Reflecting back on his Asia tour, Seon Ho highlighted the emotional journey from the start all the way to his final fan meeting in Singapore. He expressed gratitude, tearfully confessing that he had cried so much during the tour that he could not recall everything clearly. 

As the crowd burst out in cheers and replied to his words, Seon Ho praised SG Seonhohadas for their remarkable understanding of Korean, and how it made him feel at home, akin to being in Korea. He cherished the connection with his fans, appreciating their time and dedication to coming to spend a lovely night with him. 

Seon Ho acknowledged that some seats were left empty sometimes due to fans’ personal reasons, emphasizing his deep appreciation for those who attended. To him, it was not about the number of fans present, but rather it was the fact that they devoted their precious time to be there with him.

Explaining the tour’s name, Seon Ho likened it to taking a photograph: “ONE, TWO, THREE. SMILE.” He hoped that the fan meeting would encapsulate the moments before capturing a beautiful memory, allowing Seonhohadas to preserve the memory for a lifetime. 

Moving on to the next segment of the fan meeting – “Seon Ho’s Drama Talk”, he engaged in delightful interactions with fans, recreating iconic scenes from his dramas. From opening a water bottle in “Start-Up” to dancing in “Hometown Cha Cha Cha” to writing wishes in “100 Days My Prince”, Seon Ho brought all the moments to life, delighting the audience.

Continuing with the “2023 Seon Ho Awards”, he shared that he was grateful for the opportunity to explore different countries during his Asia tour and also eat delicious local delicacies. He shared his memorable experiences in Singapore, ranging from taking a morning walk at the beach near his hotel, to savoring local delicacies like Satay and Hokkien Mee and even picking up some Singlish slangs along the way. As such, his top food pick in Singapore would have to be Chilli Crab as he shared that since he likes Tteokbokki, the sweet and spicy savory sauce from the Chilli Crab really suits his taste buds. Furthermore, his top tourist location in Singapore would have to be the Lau Pa Sat Satay Street. 

After a short VCR break and outfit change, Seon Ho then returned to stage to play games with the fans. A fun-filled game ensued, featuring rock-paper-scissors and charades where fans had to mimic Seon Ho’s actions correctly to win gifts prepared by the actor himself, such as a shirt he wore during an endorsement and a magazine from his Elle Men Singapore photoshoot which was already sold out in the country. The actor’s adorable failures in the “Seon Ho Will Do It” segment led to penalties such as reenacting emoticons and taking polaroids, creating moments of pure joy. 

A lucky fan also walked away with a special gift where Seon Ho personally designed a customized cap by drawing cute icons that reminded him of Singapore and the fan meeting in the country, making it a unique keepsake from his show in Singapore.

The night concluded with Seon Ho’s soulful rendition of “Reason”, a song that he performed not once, but twice, due to a comical distraction by a confetti machine. During the photo taking session, Seonhohadas even surprised the actor with a heartwarming video they had prepared. This heartfelt gesture brought the actor close to tears, underlining the special bond between him and his fans.
