With the death of Yi Heon, Ha Seon is no longer the acting King. He continues to stir things up in the palace and his relationship with the Queen blossoms. Shin Chi Soo doubts the King’s identity after knowing about the clown who looks like him. He instructs someone to paint an image of Ha Seon and to create posters naming him as an impostor. He tells his men to place the wanted posters all over town and people start to gossip about it. Gab Soo and Dal Rae also see the posters and they become worried about Ha Seon.

Secretary Lee sees the posters as well. And during a royal court proceeding, he thwarted the request of the other ministers to arrest all clowns to show the palace’s authority.

Shin Chi Soo talks to Court Lady Kim and he wants her to verify the King’s identity. To do so, she needs to check the King’s chest and looks for the scar. Her attempt to enter Ha Seon’s chamber is stopped by Eunuch Choi so she has to sneak in. She bribes a young eunuch to bring in a pot of tea laced with sleeping drug.

Thinking that Ha Seon is sound asleep, she gets inside and starts undressing him. After seeing the scar, she prepares to leave, but Ha Seon wakes up. In exchange for the King’s mercy, Secretary Lee tells Court Lady Kim to report her findings to Shin Chi Soo. She needs to get him to admit he is responsible for the posters.

Lady Kim does what she is told, but Shin Chi Soo also knows that she got caught. Officer Jang, who just retracted his resignation, is outside Shin Chi Soo’s house to make sure that Lady Kim gets out. A lady emerges from the house, but it is not Lady Kim and she is not seen since.

His siblings overheard her shouting in frustration.

Poong Sang serves her divorce papers and it upsets Boon Sil gets upset. Poong Sang is still unable to tell his siblings about his cancer. Unaware of his condition, they go and enjoy themselves instead. The evening ends badly for them as everyone gangs up against Jung Sang.

The Last Empress (SBS)

The Last Empress

Note: Only two episodes aired this week for The Last Empress

Working around the clock, villain Empress Regent bounces back by successfully manipulating her fellow villain to stop her son from uncovering the murderer of Empress So Hyun. Woo Bin gets trapped because of Dong Shik.

I have reached that point of this drama when I want everything to end. So when I heard about the extension, I was not that happy. We got another round of attack and counter-attacks, yet Lee Hyuk’s character remains consistently wavering. Hopefully, the Crown Prince will wake up soon, and everything will wrap up neatly.

Touch Your Heart (tvN)*Premiere

Touch Your Heart2

It is an exciting premiere week for Touch Your Heart. Lee Dong Wook and Yoo In Na’s chemistry is evident through its first two episodes. Oh Yoon Seo may appear ditzy and spoiled, but she has the strength than most people. She puts on a smile every time even after hearing people talk about her.

Kwon Jung Rok is not your typical cold-hearted leading man as he is quick to apologize if he is in the wrong. He can also show kindness if the situation warrants it. Their first meeting is hilarious and sparks started to fly. It’s not the romantic kind, though, as they are in each other’s throat on that first day as well as the next.

Na Kyung’s world starts to collapse as Jae Wook found out she called the original donor. Although she feels guilty about Hyeon Woo’s condition, she argues that the family left her with no choice. They always treat her as an outsider. As a result, she has to do the things she did to survive. Hyeon Woo is going through the side effects from the transplant as he goes in and out of consciousness and his vision becomes blurry.

Ji Young finds out, through Jae Wook’s sister, about Na Kyung’s doing and she gets mad. She goes to confront Na Kyung and tells her she will file a custody law suit against her. Promising to get back her son Joon Seo, Ji Young immediately talks to a lawyer after her confrontation with her former best friend.

Jae Wook supports the legal battle Ji Young wants to pursue. Jae Wook reminds her that he will ensure her being stripped of parental rights over Joon Seo. Her husband’s threat gives Na Kyung an idea on the topic to discuss on the live broadcast which the showrunner approves.

Na Kyung’s suggested topic is the situation they are currently dealing with. The viewers post their comments and reactions about the subject during the live broadcast. The public opinions paint Ji Young in an ugly light. The audience calls the act of conceiving a baby with the former husband an adultery. Viewers are mostly angry and judgmental, regardless if it happened through artificial insemination. Jae Wook is yet to tell his parents about Na Kyung’s scheme.

The live broadcast further angers Jae Wook’s parents because it publicizes the family problem. After the broadcast, Ji Young’s lawyer advises her of Na Kyung’s offer for a settlement, however, Ji Young refuses to yield. Jae Wook calls the lawyer and convinces him to continue the fight.

Romance Is A Bonus Book (tvN)

Romance is a Bonus Book

Eun Ho and Dan Yi’s love story is becoming my weekly solace. I like the soothing storytelling, and the love and life pep talks which it gives each week.
