The Story Sketch

In My Lovely Liar, Sol-hee (Kim So Hyun), who has the ability to hear others’ lies, owns a tarot cafe that is actually a secret place where she meets her VIP clients. She makes a living as a liar hunter, telling clients whether the answer they want to know is true or false.

Meanwhile, Do-ha (Hwang Min Hyun is a mystic composer who hides his identity. When a photo of him is taken with top singer, Shaon, scandal spreads, forcing Do-ha to move out of his house.

When Do-ha moves to a new town for a temporary stay, he meets Sol-hee, who initially mistakes him for an offender. However, they start to open up to each other.

The Characters

Expectations are focused on Kim So Hyun’s performance, which will focus on Mok Sol-hee’s colorful charms, from her professional side to her unexpected eccentricity. She is said to serve the spirit of truth, is more sincere than anyone else in determining the truth requested by her client.

For every request, she transforms into an exclusively commissioned liar hunter who goes out, regardless of whether it is a mountain road with thick forests or a luxurious party venue.

Sol-hee was born with the cryptic ability to ‘hear other people’s lies’. Perhaps because she grew up listening to endless lies from people around the world, she became cynical and untrusting of people.

Interestingly, life takes a turning point, a refreshing charm, and even a thrilling romance, as Kim Do-ha, the suspicious man next door, appears in front of the sometimes cynical and sometimes lonely Mok Sol-hee.

Likewise, attention is also focused on the transformation of Hwang Min Hyun, who will complete Kim Do-ha, a genius composer who has a complex inner side, with his own color.

From having a happy youth, he changed into someone recluse. His wary eyes show his sensitivity to wanting to hide and block himself from the outside world.
