K-Drama Sneak Peek: “Mr. Queen” Mixes Comedy & Joseon Politics With Shin Hye Sun & Kim Jung Hyun

Accordingly, Mr. Queen secures the limited period dramas aired for the 2020 K-Drama season. Moreover, it will be the first historical drama starring role for Shin Hye Sun and the second for Kim Jung Hyun since MBC drama, The Rebel.
Mixing the usual romance, politics and royal family intrigue, Mr. Queen details Kim So Yong, a Joseon Queen hosting a soul of free-spirited Blue House chef from the modern times.
Presenting a comical transformation as Kim So-yong, Shin Hye Sun faces a quirky role of a Joseon queen whose body hosts a wandering spirit of a man not living in her time.
As a royal family member bound in living under strict rules, the maverick chef would sure create a cute chaos for the queen.
Challenging the role of a Joseon king, Kim Jung Hyun will be the two-faced King Cheoljong of Joseon. Appearing relaxed and easy, his true character has a sharp and solid inner side.
He has a gentle smile, but his keen eyes see through the real scheme of a person. With his position bound to cause ill-intended conspiracies
Rounding up the main cast are actors Sul In Ah, Bae Jong Ok and Kim Tae Woo.
Directed by Yoon Sung Shik, the series will be backed up by STUDIO PLEX and CRAVEWORKS. Director Yoon has worked on Hwarang, You’re The Best Lee Soon Shin and Bridal Mask. Penning the script are writers Park Gye Ok and Choi Ah Il.
