Amazing Music Stages & Fan Experiences To Expect At “KCON 2020 Japan”

Do you want to know what KCON 2020 Japan offers?

KCON is the biggest annual Korean cultural convention held all over the world. Since 2012, it started with the aim to increase awareness about Korea and its culture through showcasing music, fashion, beauty, food, and entertainment.

After being held exclusively in the west, KCON went back to Asia when it was held in Saitama, Japan in 2015. Coinciding with the event was M Countdown’s 20th anniversary.

This year, the first stop will be on April 3 to 5 at Makuhari Messe Convention Center in Chiba, Japan.

In addition, two of major US cities are also included in the list of venues for this year. The first US city stop, with a three-day event, will be on June 12 to 14 at Javits Center in Manhattan, USA.

Thereafter, it will be capping off its US tour with a four-day convention on August 27 to 30 at Los Angeles Convention Center.

The music and cultural festival will be wrapping it up on September 26 & 27 at Impact Arena and Exhibition Center in Bangkok, Thailand.

As  the world’s largest K-Culture convention, here are what you can expect at the kickoff 3-day event in Japan.

KCON Stage

KCON Stage is the main stage of the convention where various artists perform mini concerts for their fans. It is one of the most exciting and must see events during convention.

Tsunagaru Stage

“Tsunagaru” means “to be connected to” in English. In this area, K-pop idols and Korean celebrities interacts with their fans through having talk shows and interview sessions. This is also where various acts are staged such as, cultural performances, and cooking demonstrations.

K-Culture Stage

K-Culture stage conducts various talk shows about the Korean dramas and movies, film screenings, and cultural lectures. Every year, many K-drama actors and actresses are invited to talk and to promote about their projects. It also hosts interviews sessions and lectures from significant content creators.

K-Studio

K-Studio focuses on online content. There are interviews of different YouTube content creators and lectures from professionals like hair and make-up artists on how to do K-pop style make-up. There are also interactive programs such as dance lessons on K-pop dance covers, and song lyric guessing activity.

Meet & Greet Stage

This is a special stage for those who availed Meet and Greet tickets. On this stage, you can meet your favorite idols up close and can also witness while walking in the red carpet.

Due to the increasing demand, KCON are expanding its offers every year by providing different programs and activities. The number of participants are also increasing every year.

Performers

In 2015, some of the notable performers who attended were GOT7, SISTAR, INFINITE, and Lovelyz. While in 2016, TWICE, DAY6, MONSTA X, and N. Flying were also present.

In 2017, the lineup was ASTRO, VICTON, CNBLUE, GFRIEND, and SEVENTEEN. More popular groups are being invited every year as the convention gets huge. In 2018, some of the various performers were MOMOLAND, WJSN, Golden Child, and Wanna One.

AB6IX, ATEEZ, The Rose, IZ*ONE, and ITZY were just few of the big names who performed from last year’s KCON.
